Q: Bill - I had an Excell 2600 with a Honda Engine and a Chinese pump. When the pump failed it appeared that the pump was only good for 50 hours and because of the shaft design had to be replaced with the same pump,which was expensive for the life expectancy. I was told that no alternative pump existed that would fit the shaft. Therefore the washer became a throw-away. I am considering a Generic Prosumer 3000 PSI unit. Will I be able to get an alternative pump for this unit so I'll not have to throw it away if the pump fails? What is the life expectancy of the pump on this unit? Where is it manufactured?

A: The pump on the Generac Prosumer 3000 psi unit is made by AR. The pump is an AR triplex plunger pump which is a great quality pump with a 3/4" shaft. AR pumps are manufactured in Italy and assemble in Minnesota. You would be able to rebuild this pump if it failed or at the very least you would definitely be able to replace this pump and keep the rest of the pressure washer as is. A replacement pump similar to what comes on it would cost around $300.00.

 Very easy to assemble

Ordered a Karcher 3000 psi gas pressure washer and it showed with quick delivery. Very easy to assemble.

Started on about the 4th pull. Got the recommended turbo nozzle with it and it works great.

I am happy with this purchase.
