Q: Bill, I have a Pressure washer the has an AR-RMV2.5G27D pump on it. It works great and I was wondering if there would be anything wrong with running water from a basic hater heater, approx. 160 degree, through it. What could happen to it? Thanks, Jim by Jim on January 21, 2012
A: No, you could not run that hot of water thru your pump. You would literally end up melting the seals after 1 or 2 uses. Using hot water thru a "cold water" pump is the quickest way to damage a pump and cause it to stop creating pressure. Pumps like the one you have can only accept water up to 104 F degrees by Bill, Product Expert
Q: I need to match up the pumps. I bought 2 already and had to send them beck. I need pics of the face where it mounts the motor by Damian from Louisiana on May 09, 2011
A: If you go to the specs portion and go to the download documents, you would be able to pull up a detailed diagram of the pump.

Q: I need to replace a Devilbiss PK16331 Pump. It is on a Honda 5 HP motor. The original Presure Washer Mopdel # is WGCH2225 Will the RMV25G30D replace this Pump?
thanks in advnace. by Dale from Ohio on April 17, 2011
A: As long as your Honda engine has a 3/4" shaft on it, then yes this pump will mount up perfectly. Also, this is a horizontal mounted pump and cannot be mounted vertically. Given the HP size of your existing engine, you might want to consider purchasing a model SJV25G27D-F7. You will more than likely not be able to push the full 3000 psi with the size of your engine which could cause strain on the pump and shorten its lifespan.

Q: Hi Bill, I have a Karcher G2000MK 2000PSI 2.0GPM 87cc gas powered pressure washer.Would this pump AR 3000PSI 2.5GPM 3/4 hollow shaft replacewment pump model # RMV 25G30D be a suitable replacement for the one on my machine? by Victor Sqiires on April 17, 2011
A: As long as you have a 3/4" shafted engine then yes it would mount up just fine. However, the engine size you have is definitely not powerful enough to provide the full 3000 psi. If your engine has a 3/4" shaft, you would be better off purchasing a model SJV25G27D-F7 replacement pump given the size of your engine.

Q: where do you add the oil in a preasure washer pump by Richard Forrester from Alabama on April 04, 2011
A: Certain style pumps cannot have the oil changed or added. These are sealed pumps and will normally be labeled as "Axial Cam" style pumps. "Triplex Plunger" style pumps can have oil added and/or changed. If you have this type of pump, there will be a fill port on top of the pump that unscrews. You will also have a threaded plug on the bottom of the pump so that you can drain the old used oil. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: which turbo tip would you recommend for this pump after attached to a honda engine? by Greg from Florida on April 03, 2011
A: You would want to use a 3.0 size orifice when purchasing a turbo nozzle or spray tip for use with this pump. The exact turbo nozzle needed for this pump would be model # AL-TPR25-30A by Bill, Product Expert
Q: I have an RMV2.5 3k psi pump on a Robin/Subara 6 hp engine (Ridge Brand Washer). It does not pump water out of the nozzel under pressure. What might I look for. I have check the hoses. It is about 1 year old by Mark Carmouche from Louisiana on March 28, 2011
A: Your problem would either be coming from the unloader valve sticking or the seals within the pump are blown. The only way to truly find out what the problem is, is for you to take the machine to a service center that repairs pressure washers and have them test it. Regardless, the seals on this pump cannot be replaced and the unloader valve would probably cost 1/2 the amount to replace as it would to purchase an entirely new pump. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: I need a new 2500-3000 psi pump to replace my existing. I have a 5 hp honda engine and need to know what details you need to size the correct replacement pump. by Dave Moeller from Indiana on March 27, 2011
A: This particular pump will definitely mount up to a Honda engine flange with no problem. One thing you have to confirm on your end is the engine shaft size. This pump has a 3/4" shaft and would only fit engines with a 3/4" shaft too. More than likely your engine does have a 3/4" shaft but there are also 7/8" and 1" shafts on engines made so it is always best to verify before you make the purchase.
Also, this is a horizontal mounted pump and cannot be used in vertical applications. by Bill, Product Expert

Bill's Recommendation
When the axial pump on your pressure washer wears out it can't be rebuilt the way our "Better" and "Best" triplex picks can.
However, if the engine is still running strong it can be very cost effective to replace an axial pump, and with this unit from AR it's not all that hard to do.
It matches easily to a standard 3/4" gasoline engine flange, and will push up to 2.5 gallons per minute at up to 3000 psi, so it works great for 5 to 6.5 horsepower engines.
AR builds a high quality and dependable pump, so you may wind up with a better pressure washer than you started with!

Couldn't be happier
This new pump RMV25G30D3000PSI works great on my 5HP Honda CV160 engine. There was a 2400 PSI on it to start and I replaced it with this unit.
I couldn't be happier with this pump. A lot more pressure than the old one.
Thanks a lot for the advice you gave me when I emailed you before I ordered it.
PWD RESPONDS: As a safety precaution, please make sure your pressure washer parts (gun, hose, & tips) are rated for the increased pressure.
If your hose is not stamped with the burst pressure, then check your Owner's Manual or call the manufacturer for the information. More pressure than the equipment can handle could result in injury or damage!

Seems cheap but will see
This pump seems a bit on the wimpy side when it comes to the construction. Very chinese if you know what I mean. My old pump had large fins and had an oil reservoir. This has neither. I will keep an open mind to see if it stands up to being run multiple hours straight.
PWD RESPONDS: AR pumps are made by Annovi Reverberi, one of the largest pump manufacturers in the world. Your AR pump has a one year factory warranty to make sure you get the best service and quality possible.
If you need a commercial grade pump you may want to look at a triplex plunger style- they run cooler, last longer, and can be rebuilt when they finally wear out.

Great deal
Good pump, good price- used it for 3 hrs. straight with no problems.
Had to change out the output end to match my hose end, and it came with thermal blowout and chemical injector. I just need a pickup hose.
Great deal so far.

Not Bad at All
Fitting to motor was perfect. Took awhile to find the correct adapters and like the other entry was missing the plug. but a local big box store had it.
In all am happy with the pump thus far. I would like to know where to insert the oil for the pump however as there did not seem to be a fill hole for it. Am hoping it is a sealed unit with the oil already in place.
PWD RESPONDS: You can contact the folks at AR Technical Support (toll free) at (800) 893-4235. They will be happy to answer your questions, and if the plug was supposed to be included with the pump, they will be able to send you one.

Great replacement pump
I ordered this pump and received it quite quickly.
I was really amazed at the pressure from it. My old pump didn't put out near as much pressure as this one.
I highly recommend this pump.
PWD RESPONDS: For your safety, please make sure that your wand, hose, and accessories are rated for the increased PSI of your new pump!

Not all that happy with purchase
Sorry to say I'm not all that happy with my purchase it came in a box with no paper work at all, no information at all not parts list, no instructions... nothing.
It is supposed to have an unloader valve which I don't think it does so I feel I bought cheap and I got cheap.
PWD RESPONDS: We double checked with AR North America, the manufacturer of the pump. They confirm that the RMV25G30D pump does indeed come with an unloader valve built into the pump.
You can go to the manufacturer's web site at www.arnorthamerica.com to print out a technical drawing of the pump.
We confirmed that you can use the RMV series drawing, even though the RMV25G30D pump is new enough it hasn't made it onto AR's web site yet.

New pump
It was a near perfect fit, bogged the engine down a couple times, I assume because the pump was tight being it was new.
Ran great after a minute or so. Good pressure but you have to let the pressure off to restart. Loads the engine down to where it can barely be turned over.
