Briggs & Stratton 3400 PSI (Gas - Cold Water) Pressure Washer

The hose reel is useless and takes up a ton of space. Try as I may, I'm not able to get the detergent siphon to work and I'm not able to use detergents.

PWD RESPONDS: We're sorry you are having trouble using your pressure washer. Page 15 of your Owner's Manual says that you can only use the black tip for soap application- if you try and use one of the other tips, the siphon action won't happen. You also need to make sure the filter is fully submerged in the detergent.

The hose reel should be able to help you store the hose neatly, as well as only needing to unwind only the amount of hose you need when pressure washing. Page 7 of the Owner's Manual shows step by step how to install the hose on the reel so it works properly.

If either of these tips don't help, please contact the folks at Briggs and Stratton (toll free) at (800) 743-4115. They will be able to help you determine if you have a warranty issue.

I wanted to give my garage floor an epoxy finish, which meant that, 18 years of dirt, grime and large oil grease spots needed to be removed first.

After many washings with TSP, bleach, degreaser, and the prep chemicals that comes with the epoxy kit, it was a real pleasure to do the many needed rinses with my new water broom.

It keeps all the water flowing forward and out the garage door, and the wheels makes it so easy to just keep pushing around, not having to hold up a wand to spray.

When the garage floor was completely cleaned, I proceeded to water broom off my large blacktop driveway. Again, it did a great job of pushing all the dirt and debris down the driveway and into the ditch at the end.

I guess my greatest pleasures using my new water broom was how straight forward the jets of water cleaned without getting any part of me wet.

The large area each pass covered versus even the widest spray tip that came with my pressure washer, and the ease on my back by wheeling it about and not needing to hold up a spray wand for long periods during use (my wife took her turns and agrees with these concepts.)

I certainly have no problem recommending this product to anyone who wants to make those big jobs much easier.

My husband has this really small, very old rototiller that I believe he inherited from a previous owner of our farm. That little old Briggs & Stratton has faithfully tilled our garden for the past 22 years and who know how many years prior to that.

We had a Briggs & Stratton pressure washer for many years and simply decided, this year, to upgrade to this model, although our old one was really faithful to us also.

This past weekend, we tried out our new model 20275, and we simply love it. Living next to a woods, our cement patio gets black and green from the mold and mildew, and today it is almost as white as snow. We did it without using pressure washer soap but that would likely help even more. So, for all those who have had a less than great attitude about Briggs & Stratton can put that notion to sleep. Their products are great.

First, gas pressure washers obviously use gas. A good gas can goes a long way.

We recommend the Flo N' Go 6-gallon gas can because it features a gas-station style pump. Simply squeeze the trigger to siphon the fuel, eliminating messy and potentially dangerous spills.

Secondly, consider getting the General Pump Ultimate Pressure Washer Quick-Connect Kit. It literally makes setting up your pressure washer a snap.

Simply snap your garden hose to your water spigot and pressure washer. Then use the high-pressure quick connect to snap your pressure washer hose to your pump.

I recently purchased this unit and was very dissappointed with the quality of the engine, I had purchased a 2800 psi a week before with a Mitubishi engine and it is a very well built engine, for instance it has a dipstick with a high quality fill plug, a screen in the fuel tank in case something is in your tank besides gasoline, the oil fill cap has a place where you can hold it , the Briggs does not nor does the briggs have the fuel screen, if Mitubishi would have had a 3400psi with an ar tri plex pump I would have bought it in a heart beat as for Briggs and Stratton, I can't beleive the cheap compontents ( dipstick, fuel screen, wheel without bearings, no rubber grip on handle, just to name a few. ) and will never buy another, ( unless the quailty comes up ).
