Q: I wanted to know how long the warranty was on this model. by Eric on August 28, 2012
A: This machine comes with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. If any issues were to arise with this machine within that 2 year period, you would simply contact Briggs & Stratton directly and they would refer you to a local servicing dealer in your area. by Bill, Product Expert

All Around Easy
Having never owned one before now, I didn't know what to expect. It was easy enough to put together, easy enough to to get started (just 1 pull is all it took), & easy to use.
This machine does the job!!! I better mention I bought the 2,700 psi model. It made the concrete look like it was just poured & cured. I used the lower setting, 2350 psi, to wash the mold off my wooden deck steps.
All in all, I extremely satisfied w/ this machine.

I unpacked my pressure washer to find a broken part. I contacted the company, who then contacted the manufacturer and received a new part within 2 weeks. I love my power washer.
PWD RESPONDS: You can always use the Technical Support link at the bottom of our web pages to find the manufacturer's phone numbers. Sometimes it's faster if you call the manufacturer directly, but we're always happy to help.

Briggs & Stratton (sent To Customer Service)
We purchased this pressure washer on May 20,2012. It was received, assembled and used to clean a vinyl fence on June 8,2012. After using one tank of gas, the washer stopped where upon it was noticed that the Briggs and Stratton engine had turned on the body of the unit 90 degrees.
After inspecting the underside of the body of the washer, it was observed that only one of three bolts were holding the engine onto the body of the unit. After careful inspection of our lawn and driveway, the two missing bolts were not found. On 6/18/2012, a call was made to Briggs and Stratton to explain what happened. Michael, the service representative, said he would pass this information on and someone would be getting back to us.
On 6/29/2012, Jeff from Briggs and Stratton called and he explained the resolution would be that a packet of 3 bolts and nuts would be mailed to us two of the bolts would be of the same size. He explained that the bolts would have to be torqued anywhere between 12 to 17 ft-lbs about 15 would be good. And this packet would be sent by UPS.
As of now 7/22/2012 we have not received this packet of bolts and we have not been able to use our pressure washer since 6/8/2012. We were pleased with the initial cleaning of the vinyl fence, but the reason for the bad rating is that we have a brand new pressure washer that we have not been able to use for at least two months.
And the concern is that a brand new product received and used for the first time, you would not expect that bolts that were factory torqued to hold an engine onto the body would be missing. This brings up the question of the quality control at manufacturing. This is a safety issue. This is like a motor falling out of a brand new car! We want to alert Pressure Washer Direct on products they are selling, and we are hoping for a speedy resolution.
PWD RESPONDS: We apologize for the inconvenience! We will work with our rep at Briggs and contact you directly to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may want to check the parts diagram for your unit and source the bolts locally so you can use your pressure washer.

Would Not Buy Again
I bought this two years ago and use it a few times a year. The pump always surged.
Now the pump has quit and it just a month out of warranty. The cost to replace the pump is almost as much as a new pressure washer.
PWD RESPONDS: Your warranty runs from the day your unit was delivered. We didn't find an invoice for you in our database, so we can't tell you the date; but that may give you a little more time for a claim.
Pump surge can be caused by not enough water volume reaching the pump (and it can cause premature failure). You will want to make sure you're attached to a city water source, not a well. You will also want to make sure your garden hose is less than 30 feet long- you lose volume and back pressure when the hose is too long. Checking to make sure there are no blockages in your garden hose may also help.

Great Machine
Had to replace my old reliable, a 2300 psi unit I'd had for about 10 years. It blew a seal in the pump and cost just didn't warrant fixing. Looked at quite a few models but all in the 2700 psi range. For a homeowner, I really didn't think I needed more power, the 2300 worked very well so figured 2700 would be more than enough.
I was debating between this model and a few others on PWD but liked the B&S name. Just can't go wrong with quality and reliability. However, I did have a few questions which I sent to Bill. He answered fully and quickly and made my decision that much easier.
The machine: Shipping was quick inside of 5 days, easy to put together, added oil, gas and gave it a rip. Started right up. I was looking all over for a choke or primer. There isn't one. Ahh technolgy. Ive run it the past 3 days in a row and it fired 1st time each time with one exception. When I refilled the fuel tank, I forgot to release the water pressure from the hose and it required 2 pulls. My bad! The quick release tips are an excellent addition to these new machines. I would like one with a bit wider spray but this machine cleans concrete very well.
Two items that could be upgraded maybe on future units, a longer higher handle would make for moving about much easier and a larger fuel tank would be a huge convenience. That being said, at my age, its probably better to take more breaks:
Overall, a great machine for the price and pleasure doing business with PWD. Thanks guys.

Terrific Power Washer!
I never owned a power washer before and needed one to clean around the concrete to our pool and deck area. I surfed around and came across Pressure Washers Direct.com. There are so many choices of power washers, I got lost in all the selections and features.
I ended up with the Briggs and Stratton 20501 2700 PSI Gas Power Washer. I chose this after sending an email to Bill asking if he had recommendations, etc. and he agreed that this machine, for what I needed it to do, made the most sense. Thanks Bill! I could not be happier.
If you need a machine that cleans residential everything from concrete which turns a new color : , a deck, siding, cars, gutters, outside furniture, outside gatefence, etc., search no more. The 2700 psi will get the job done for a reasonable price. The electrics, Ive been told, are just not powerful enough. This is not overkill on power, but it will take paint off your wood if you hold it close enough.
Pros: It took me about 20 minutes to put together. I read the manual mostly. Put the oil that it comes with and gas into the machine and on first pull it started. Within minutes, I was washing away years old markings, dirt, and grime from my concrete walkways, to the deck, to siding, to gutters, to pretty much you name it.
I like the variety of nozzles it comes with. Liked the self-contained soap dispenser. I like the easy on/off switch and the one at most two pull start. Moving the machine is easy with the handles and tough wheels. I like the long cord it gets coiled up and tangles at times, but that is to be expected. Only thing that stopped me from washing everything on my property was running out of gas...which leads me to the negative...
Negatives: Small gas tank so you keep a gas can nearby.
I just bought the machine and have used it numerous times. It rocks and I am a very happy customer.
