Q: What are the steps for winterizing the DS3532?

A: Easy enough- get a pump saver product like this one made by Briggs & Stratton: <a href="http://www.pressurewashersdirect.com/Briggs-&-Stratton-6039/p4325.html" title="http://www.pressurewashersdirect.com/Briggs-&-Stratton-6039/p4325.html" class="bluelink">Briggs & Stratton Pump Saver</a>.

Screw the hose attachment of the can into the garden hose inlet of your pressure washer. Fire up your pressure washer & squeeze the trigger until you see the anti-freeze solution come out the end of your spray gun.

Turn off the unit, and leave the pump saver can connected.

Then either drain all the gas out of the pressure washer through the carburetor, or mix fuel stabilizer into your gas and fill the tank. Draining is better, but messier.

Then put your pressure washer away in a dry place that isn't exposed to freezing temperatures.

Leave the pump saver in all winter- it drives out moisture & lubricates the pump seals.

Take the can off in the spring & run fresh water through your pressure washer- you'll be ready to go.

Q: I am looking at the DeWalt DS3532 3500PSI professional for cleaning rocks and Pavers around my large home. Do units like this one stand on their own or do I need to keep one hand on the handle to keep it upright? I want to be able to leave the unit in one place and walk around with the hose. Is there an option to put a 100 foot hose on a unit instead of the 50 foot it comes with?

A: This machine will stand on its own and does not need any extra support. The frame is couterbalanced and uses rubber feet to stay in place. There would not be any issue with you leaving the machine in one place and working around.

As for the hose, you cannot purchase this model with a 100' hose but you can definitely purchase a replacement 100' hose or add on an additional 50' extension hose.
