3 Questions
Q: Does this unit come with an induction or universal motor?
Is the pump self-priming? by Anonymous on November 16, 2011
A: This machine uses an induction style motor. However, this model does NOT have a self priming pump. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: I see the soap bottle container on the back of the machine but there is no on/off lever to let in or stop soap from coming out of the spray gun. I dont want to waste soap or if i have a small job to do it wont start to rinse until soap is all gone? by Mike Meliosky from New York on May 12, 2011
A: The soap on a pressure washer should only be coming out if you have it on low pressure, so when you go to a higher pressure and take it off of low, you would not be dispensing detergent.
Q: The feature of motor shut off with the trigger wand, I do not see mentioned with Earthwise.1) Does the motor shut off at the wand with the 2000 psi model? 2) Where the hose connects is it plastic or metal? If a kit required to convert to brass fittings? by Judy Averhart from Mississippi on March 27, 2011
A: Yes this model does have the total shut off feature. When you release the trigger gun, the motor shaft will stop spinning and therefore prevent the pump from operating. In regards to converting the fittings to brass, your only option would be purchasing a garden hose quick connect kit.
Living in Northeast Ohio we haven't had the best weather to truly try out my Earthwise pressure washer.
But, we did have one decent day that I was able to set it up and test it. It worked well on a area of my patio. I did have a little trouble turning it on because of my outside outlets are in line with a ground fault device, but that's not the fault of the machine.
It's a quiet machine with plenty of water pressure. I'm happy with it and I'm looking forward to better weather to clean the patio, lawn furniture, sidewalks, garage floor and more.
Thanks, Pressure Washers Direct for your information on pressure washers. It helped me make the right choice.

Although I have only used it once, so far it seems to do a good job.
Lots of power, for home use it should do the job nicely.

Not Impressed
I used if for first time this week end- not impressed. It shuts down every 5 minutes on over heat, I can't even wash a whole truck.
PWD RESPONDS: That doesn't sound like it's working right. Please contact the folks at Earthwise, toll free, at (800) 633-1501 to run through a quick troubleshooting checklist.
The unit has a 1 year factory warranty, so if it needs to be repaired or replaced the Earthwise folks will be happy to set it up for you.

Concrete looks like new again
I am very happy that I purchased this unit to clean my concrete driveway. I had lichens and mold that had built up over the past 10 years and it removed everything . The concrete looks like new again.
The machine is quiet, very powerful and easy to use. The only criticism would be the brief and vague instructions. I had to call to find out how to get the soap to work.
