Generac 5995 - Prosumer 3300 PSI (Gas-Cold Water) Pressure Washer

Q: Hi Bill, I'm interested in this Generac 5995. I will be using it for cleaning my vinyl siding & gutters on my ranch-style house (single story). Maybe clean the driveway, back patio (cement), cars, as well as the lawnmower every once-in-a-while. Would this washer be overkill or good for my intended use?

Also, what accessories would I have to purchase in order to to the above tasks". Thanks

A: This would be a great model for all those tasks. You could get something a little smaller, but them you would be taking a step backwards in terms of quality. The key feature on this unit is the pump. The style pump is a tri-plex plunger and is very high quality and with this amount of psi, you would greatly diminish on the time it would take to finish the tasks you are looking to do. As long as you use your tips correctly, there really is not an overkill when it comes to pressure washer size. It just means you get the job done quicker.

In terms of accessories, depending on how how of a reach you would have to go, you could add a high pressure soap shooter for high reach areas, but if you don't have a problem getting on a ladder, the only thing I would really suggest would be a gutter cleaner. This is going to be a curved lance, to go on the end of the wand. This makes the angle much easier to deal with.
