Q: Bill, is there an adapter to connect this hammerhead to my 2500psi unit, i see the connector is presure fit and my unit has the screw connector. I hope I explained that well enough.

A: This surface cleaner does come with a quick connect fitting. In order for your threaded hose to be compatible, you will have to purchase adapter part # AL457.

A: This surface cleaner would work great for that application. However, you will definitely have to use at least a 2600-3000psi machine or larger in order to get great results. Also, just be aware that more than likely some of the sand in between the joints will be blown out. As far as removing the mold off the pavers, you should be satisfied with the performance of this product. by Bill, Product Expert

A: If you recently purchased this product, you do not need to grease them. The newer versions of this item do use a zerk fitting that does not require grease. The older models will have a grease point around the rotating head assembly. If you do not see a grease point, then more than likely you have the newer version and it does not need to be greased by Bill, Product Expert

A: Yes you can definitely use a 4200 psi pressure washer with this surface cleaner. You might want to dial down the pressure just a little bit but it really isnt needed. However, the only way you can push the full 4200 psi is by using a zero degree spray tip. Normal operating pressure of a 4200 psi model is going to be 4000 psi. The additional 200 psi is only obtained by constricting the water through the hose and spray tip that I mentioned. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Have a Karcher residential G3050 gas presure washer. Will the GP Hammerhead Surface Gleaner work with this machine? Would purchase include necessary hoses/wands/etc. to couple the G3050 or are these a separate purchase? If separate, what is required?

A: Yes this surface cleaner would definitely work with your model pressure washer. This surface cleaner comes with all components shown in the picture and would connect directly up to your existing pressure washer hose. In your situation, since your existing hose should be threaded, you would also need to purchase an adapter model D10089.

A: Yes, you can absolutely use this surface cleaner with a 2500 psi pressure washer. The GP Hammerhead surface cleaners require a minimum of 1000 psi to operate and can be used with pressure washers up to 4000 psi. The Hammerhead Surface Cleaner is considered prosumer-grade. You can either consider it an extremely expensive consumer-grade surface cleaner. Or, it's a very inexpensive professional-grade unit.
That choice is up to you.
We love it because it's durable. The Hammerhead features a composite housing - not some cheap plastic cover. Plus, it includes a hearty handle. Simply snap your high pressure hose into the trigger gun on the handle.
The Hammerhead actually hovers over the surface. You need at least a prosumer-grade pressure washer for it to operate properly. It's not designed for the little power washer found at your neighborhood discount store.

First the good news. The website is quite user friendly and I was able to find what I needed. Where I had questions customer service was helpful. Love the Karcher as well as GPs surface cleaner. Both very impressive. Also love the water broom and the telescopic wand.
Now the not as good news. Shipping seemed to have taken longer than expected and came fragmented. The Hyde Pivot nozzle does not work from the very moment out of the package and I need to speak with someone about either returning or exchanging the part. While the customer service phone help was good, better advice would have saved me some money and time on the sometimes confusing issue of brass and quickconnect parts. Turbo nozzle came with an incorrect quickconnect fitting, so therefore I have not yet been able to use it. I now I need to go find one locally.
All in all I recommend PWD particularly since I cannot blame them for Hydes faulty part.
PWD RESPONDS: We show that we shipped the adaptor you need to you, at no charge, on 4/11; you should have it in a day or two.
Hyde has been making tools for years, and stand behind their products. We suggest you give them a call, toll free, at 800-872-4933 for advice and/or warranty help.

Great Rig
I have used this machine for over 80 hours the past month and it hasn't missed a beat, I thought long and hard about getting the 4000 Psi unit but have not looked back since.
It runs the hammer head 20 inch surface cleaner flawlessly and starts by the second pull every time. My only complaint (which is minimal) is on two occasions I have put the lance in its "cradle" while running the surface cleaner and the handle and wand came unscrewed and melted on the engine so now I just leave it in the grass.
I also purchased the 4 nozzle water broom and it operates that fairly well, one nozzle is clogged after one use. I also purchased an additional 50 foot high pressure hose giving me 85 feet total and the loss in pressure is virtually unnoticeable.

Works Great, Easy on the Back!
I received this deck brush yesterday, assembled it minor assembly required and cleaned both our decks last night.
This unit is very efficient, does a great job, is very easy on the back and can use the power of a highpowered pressure washer.
My previous deck brush worked well, but was hard on the back and cleaned about half as fast.
I highly recommend this unit!

Great time saver
This is my first surface washer. I used to clean my cement drive prior to sealing and staining.
After using a wand twice, the drive was unevenly clean and striped.
The surface cleaner was used to redo the entire drive in one fifth of the time.
It did a wonderful job and was easy to use.
I added quick disconnect brass to all hoses and the pressure washer. This made it faster to change back to the wand when I wanted to wash away the dirty water.
I will use this every year to clean the drive and pavers our garden path.
What a wonderful tool.

Best choice
I have used the GP cleaner twice now and it works well and saves time.
This is the best choice for pressure washing a garage floor. Cleans the floor without the overspray all over the interior. Highly recommend.
I also used outside on dirty concrete. Works on indoor and outdoor apps.

Did a great job
Since I've never used a surface cleaner without wheels, I test drove it first on my concrete driveway. It worked very well.
I learned that you can't push this surface cleaner too fast or the back side will lift. A slow steady motion is all it takes, using my 2700psi, 3gpm pressure washer.
It did a great job on my driveway. Then on to the real test, 8000 feet of driveway with lots of moss and dirt on it. It did a great job on that old concrete driveway, and I was able to finish it in one day.
The only thing I'm concerned about is the longevity of the brush skirt.

I wish I had discovered this surface cleaner years ago.
Very consistent and powerful cleaning, no lines, and much faster, especially on heavily soiled surfaces, than a standard wand!

Worth it
The Hammerhead surface cleaner is wonderful.
I was using the wand to do driveways and sidewalks. It was taking me over an hour. With the Hammerhead, I cut my time in half.
Takes up a little space when storing, but worth it. Very easy to operate

My back loves it
My wife and I have to pressure wash our driveway and pool deck every year due to algae buildup that occurs over the winter in this part of the south.
Until recently it has always taken at least 2 days to get them both done. This year, after struggling through a long day pressure washing the deck with just a wand, I finally bought the General Pump 20 rotary washer to do the driveway.
With the rotary washer I was able to do the whole driveway in less than 2 hours, including rinsing everything off and putting everything away.
And, the best part is that I didn't end up with sore muscles like I used to! This is a very effective product.
Note that the rotary washer came unassembled and there were no assembly instructions in the box. However, there was a parts list with an exploded view of the unit that gave enough clues that I was able to figure it out.
I liked that the unit came with a quick-connect fitting, which allows me to quickly switch between the rotary washer and the wand.
I wish I'd bought this years ago!

A lot less time and a lot less water
Used the surface cleaner at my home and on my parent's very large driveway. It took a lot less time and a lot less water.
So far I'm very happy with the product. I did have to buy an adapter so it would work with my pressure washer.

I am a 65 year old man in So. Ca.with kids gone but cannot afford to sell my house in this economy. Qualified people to clean my large driveway & pool deck are hard to come by. Both the driveway & pool deck are color coated.My solution to this problem is as follows:
Purchased a Briggs & Stratton Prosumer Pressure washer ModelPRO3400. Most parts are made in USA. Pump is made in Italy and is all brass and can be repaired, unlike cast aluminum pumps.
After break in period, pump oil can be changed and Mobile gear oil 7590 W Synthetic can be added and pump oil should never need to be changed again. Solid machine.
Wand cleaning 8000 sq. feet will not improve your golf game, so I purchased a GP Hammerhead Surface Cleaner DFSCP20. Works great in removing embedded dirt and no swirl marks.
I clean 1000 sq. feet at a time and hose off the dirt left behind. Two people working together could save a lot of time.

i work at a truck stop and bought the Hammmerhead for our diesel bays.
I had my maintenance guys outside pressure washing with just a wand... they would come back inside covered in oil from the spray of the pressure washer.
I was driving home one day and I saw a professional pressure washing company cleaning a business.. and I saw the surface cleaner!!
Wow, what a great investment... The first time we used it the diesel bays looked almost new... we have been opened for almost 6 years!
We didn't even use any soap or de-greaser!! The Hammerhead did an amazing job in half the time, and no zebra stripes!!
I will be talking to our other stores- they have to purchase Hammerheads!
