Q: Which trigger gun that you have in stock would you recommend for the Hyde Model 28440? by Anonymous on December 16, 2011
A: You could purchase the Briggs & Stratton model 6055. You would also have to purchase an adapter for this pivot wand to be compatible with any trigger gun, the part you would need is # D10022.
Q: Hill Bill, I have Kracher X electric pressure washer 2000 PSI with its original wand. I want to check with you whether pivot Nozzle Pressure Washer will fit? 28" version is right choice?
by Tom Katoh from California on August 16, 2011
A: No, this Hyde pivot nozzle will not be compatible with your Karcher X series electric pressure washer. The Hyde wand that you would want to purchase is a model 28420. Unfortunately we do not currently carry that specific model but we are currently in the process of adding it to our site. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Hi Bill,
I have a Ridgid gas pressure washer 3300 PSI with its original wand. I want to check with you whether Pivot Nozzle Pressure Washer Wand will fit. If it fit, does the 40 inches or 28 inches work with my pressure washer? The Ridgid tip does have the thing that cover the quick connect end when the snap-on. I want to make sure it fit before I purchase it.
Thank you. by Binh Nguyen from California on April 16, 2011
A: Yes both the 28" and 40" pivot nozzle will work with your pressure washer. These pivot wands connect directly to your trigger gun and then the spray tip plugs into the end. If you purchase the 40" version, you will need to purchase adapter part # D10022 in order for it to be compatible. by Bill, Product Expert

You better be strong to handle the torque
After four years in business I bought a 40 Hyde Pivoting Nozzle Wand near the end of my pressure washing season in 2010. I liked the concept of a pivoting nozzle because I was bustin' my bod to reach all the surfaces of decks, stairways, and particularly deck railing. I was up and down ladders, and bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching to get a well controlled but powerful spray to all the facets of my work surface. I took the plunge and purchased this specialized item.
Here are my reflections:
The Hyde pivoting nozzle pressure washing wand is strong and sturdy and made with quality materials and workmanship. Take care of it and I bet it will last many many years. So, it's heavy duty but also a bit HEAVY. Connect it to a strong 3,600 to 4,000 psi pressure washer and HOLD ON TIGHT.
Aim it straight and it's just like a regular wand. We know that with any wand there is POWER and KICK behind that strong stream of water! Okay. Now, whether the surface you're reaching towards is up, to the side, or down low, the POWER of your jet is going to CHANGE DIRECTION as soon as you begin to pivot that nozzle. That's what were after, right? Maybe. The more you twist the handle the more the nozzle angles away from the straight shaft of the lance and the more STRENGTH YOU NEED to control the lance and keep the stream on track with the surface.
The pivoting nozzle DOES get you to the surfaces that are hard to reach without all the bodily gymnastics. BUT!, to the same degree that it gets you to those surfaces it requires YOU to control the lance and keep a proper distance from your surface. EASIER SAID THAN DONE. It is HARD. There is LOTS of MUSCLE FATIGUE with this product. The more powerful your stream the more YOU will WORK to control the stream.
After several jobs using the pivoting wand I decided it was NOT the improvement I'd expected versus a standard wand. CONTROL of the stream is an issue. MAINTAINING proper distance from the surface as you move along it is an issue. MUSCLE FATIGUE is an issue. And...here's an IMPORTANT TIP: DO NOT pull the trigger with the nozzle already turned to an angle from a straight stream. WHY? Because both the KICK and the POWER of the stream will hit you at the same time at the END of your 40" wand. That translates into TOO MUCH TORQUE. Working on a wood deck, stairs, or railing and that can mean damage to the surface and loss of a customer.
I don't recommend you buy this product. I don't even keep it with my gear any more.
PWD RECOMMENDS: Perhaps this accessory would be best used with a pressure washer that has adjustable pressure. That way the pressure can be turned down enough that it's not such a battle.

How to Pressure Wash at the Perfect Angle
Pressure washing at the wrong angle delivers a glancing blow and diminishes the effectiveness of a pressure washer.
The Hyde Pivoting Pressure Washer Wand takes the strain out of pressure washing. It's perfect for cleaning hard to reach areas, like wheel wheels and underneath decks.
Check it out. Very nice product.
