A: No, the Karcher brush kit will not be compatible with the AR pressure washers. AR has a very unique connection and only AR brand attachments can be used with their pressure washers. I am posting a link below to the AR brush attachments we carry:

A: You can use this, you may need an adapter, but the wand you have should connect in using a M22 connection, which is common. These are going to go into the end of the trigger gun.

Q: Hi, Bill:
I have a Ridgid 3000 PSI/2.6 GPM Gas Pressure Washer. Its DSI detergent injector uses a ratio of 1:20. I bought a Krud Kudder detergent that recommends a ratio of 1:10. (A) I'm not sure how to mix the detergent and (B) I could return it if you have a better product at Pressure Washers Direct. I prefer a cleaner that doesn't contain harmful or hazardous chemicals.
Also, will the Karcher Universal Wash Brush Kit work on my washer?

A: I would suggest going with the 1:20 ratio. What you can run into is deposits forming and this would hinder performance.
My suggestion if you are using a non pressure washer safe detergent would be to use another kind of detergent. You really don't want to use any non-pressure washer safe detergents through your pump. One, this would void your warranty and two, would probably ruin your pump. We usually suggest using a Pressure Washer safe Simple Green.
In terms of the brush, you can use this with your pressure washer. There is a M22 threaded fitting you can put onto your gun. You would have to take off the lance, but would thread on the gun connection. Worse case, you would have to get an adapter.

Worth every penny. I run a small landscape and pressure washing business. I usually just do decks patios and homes. I had the 5hp 2400psi Karcher still running great for about 9 years now. I loved it.
I decided to upgrade to the 4000 OH this year. Very nice machine. Great for home/boat/RV owner. And also great for small pressure washing businesses or those who use pressure washing for an add-on to their business like me.
Since I have 9 years on the previous one I expect another 9 or 10 out of the 13hp model as well. Either way with Karcher you can't go wrong.

How to Power Wash Your Garbage Can
Taking out the trash is a dirty job.
But, cleaning a maggot-infested garbage can in the summer is the nastiest household chore imaginable.
You can try spraying it down with your garden hose. But, it doesn't work.
How do I know? I already tried.
To be honest, the garden hose just rinsed away a few loose particles and wasted water. It didn't have enough pressure to even loosen a wet piece of paper stuck on the bottom.
You shouldn't be sticking your head into a smelly garbage can and scrubbing it with a brush. In fact, you shouldn't even consider wasting a good scrub brush on this project.
Instead, use a small, hand-carry pressure washer. First, soak the garbage can with some degreaser. Then, blast away years of built-up gunk in just seconds.
Your garbage can will look brand new. But, more importantly, the funky smell will be gone too.

How to Revitalize Your Dingy Old Deck
If cleanliness is next to godliness, staining a deck should be a heavenly experience.
But, if you opt to sand your deck first, the dust-raising experience can leave you squinting like a one-eyed pirate.
Sanding your deck may achieve the desired result, but the gritty experience is less than desirable.
The deep-cleaning action of a pressure washer will remove ground-in dirt, mold and mildew without all the mess.
Use at least a mid-sized pressure washer with at least 2400 pounds per square inch of pressure.
Smaller models will work, but you'll definitely appreciate a canyon-cleaning stream of a mid- to large-sized model versus a small water pick.
Cleaning Tips
1. Spray water over your deck to rinse off loose dirt and leaves.
2. Using the chemical tip on the wand of your pressure washer, liberally apply a chemical solution made specifically for decks and fences. Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes.
3. Switch tips to a narrow spray for heavy cleaning, using stroking motions to loosen grime and grunge off your deck. Do not use the most narrow spray - 0 degrees - which is powerful enough to carve your initials into a deck.
4. Rinse your deck with a water spray and allow it to dry for 48 hours.
Staining Tips
1. Protect your arms and legs with a long-sleeved shirt and long pants, and your eyes with goggles. If you're using a solvent-based product, wear a mask to protect against inhalation.
2. Make sure temperatures are between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and do not apply if other conditions - including rain or high winds - are expected within the next day or two.
3. Select a stain that is mixed with a sealer. Test the stain on a separate piece of wood to make sure it matches the color that you want.
4. Pour four gallons of stain into a five-gallon pail, mixing thoroughly with a long paddle. Then pour some of the stain into a smaller pail for your brush work on the railings and benches, and use the larger pail for your roller on the deck floor.
5. Liberally apply the stain to the point of saturation. All exposed ends should be coated several times until all pores are saturated.

The Right Way to Handle It
Getting a pressure washer is only the first step. Follow these six additional tips for getting your siding to shine:
1. The Solution is the Solution
Don't forget to accessorize. Soap and water is always a better cleaning combination than water alone.
Most pressure washers come with an injector to mix cleaning solutions into the jet stream.
Only use solvents that say "approved for pressure washer use" on the label. Unapproved solvents may not be environmentally sound and could eat away at critical pressure washer components.
2. Stroke, Stroke, Stroke
Apply the soap mixture under low pressure with smooth, overlapping strokes. To prevent streaking, start from the bottom and work your way up. Pressure washing is a lot like painting. If you get "hose happy" and randomly spray everything, you're bound to miss a spot.
If you have a multi-story house, you should consider using Campbell Hausfeld's High-Pressure Soap Lance. Most pressure washers only spray soap under low pressure. The new lance sprays detergent up to 25 feet under high pressure.
3. Brush-Up on Your Touch-Ups
If your home hasn't been cleaned in a while, Use a rotating or utility brush to help loosen thick layers of dirt. The brush simply snaps to then end of the pressure washer wand. Best of all, it acts as a foaming brush, emitting a soapy solution as you clean.
4. Relax Before Rinsing
Why bother using a solution if you don't give it time to work? It's okay to allow the soap mixture to sit for five to 10 minutes, as long as it doesn't dry.
5. Test of Strength
Pressure washers are designed to pack a punch. If you start spraying too closely, you could damage, instead of clean, the area. Hold the wand a couple of feet from the surface and gradually move closer if additional cleaning power is needed.
6. Ready, Aim…
Be careful not to spray directly at eaves, vents or light fixtures. High water pressure can knock out loose windowpanes or break them. Also, keep the angle of the wand pointing down so you don't spray up under the laps of horizontal siding. This will prevent the siding from buckling under pressure. When rinsing, start at the top and work down to ensure the entire area is soap free.
Pressure washers are a blast to use. Best of all, they work extremely fast, so you can spend more time admiring your work than actually doing it. In addition, pressure washers have lots of other handy uses around the home - from stripping paint to cleaning your deck to scrubbing your sidewalks.
