| Pressure Washers Direct Recommendation |
| By Pressure Washers Direct |
An extremely versatile pressure washer. It's strong enough to tackle most household chores, yet affordable enough to match the family budget.
Karcher is known for quality pressure washers. They manufacture their own pumps. Plus, this models features a quality Honda engine. |

| The pump does not last |
| By john ayotte (Naperville, IL) |
I purchased a new Karsher gas pressure washer from a big box store. I used it for one weekend, and winterized it at the end of the season.
I started it this spring and everything seemed fine. I went to use a few weeks later and it would not pump with any pressure. I followed the procedures Karcher had on the website for freeing a stuck unloader valve, and used lithum grease as suggested. I still could not get any pressure.
I was told by a repair center that I needed a new pump, and the parts cost more than the entire pressure washer.
I estimate I used this washer 8 hours total. That's clearly unacceptable.
PWD RESPONDS: Even if you didn't buy it from us, Karcher pressure washers have a 1 year warranty. Just give them a call at (800) 537-4129, they'll be happy to direct you to the Authorized Service Centers closest to you. |

| Pump failures |
| By William Nixon Jr (Wrightsville Beach, NC) |
I have owned 2 of these units over the past 6 years, one via gift, the second by purchase both from a big box store.
The big box store does not sell Karcher anymore, and both units have had pump failure documented by repair shop.
The replacement pump cost $250, resulting in second purchase of a unit on sale for less than a new replacement pump on Karcher's web site.
Both pumps failed before 30 hours of use cleaning residential porches and driveways. The Honda engines functioned well and were easy starting.
I would suggest looking for a more dependable product. I am trying TroyBilt.
PWD RESPONDS: Who makes the pump, what kind of pump, and the grade of pump are all important details when choosing a pressure washer.
You may be more comfortable with a triplex plunger pump. They last almost twice as long as an axial cam pump (the kind on Karcher, Troy-bilt, and most other consumer grade units).
When they finally do show some wear, they can be rebuilt; where axial cam pumps cannot. They cost a bit more up front; but the rebuild is considerably less than replacing the entire axial cam pump, which saves you money in the long run.
Better pumps can be found on the Prosumer and Professional units listed on our web site. |

| Junk |
| By Art R (NE, PA) |
I bought this pressure washer at a Big Box store, it ran well for about 4 uses. Then the pump would function strong, then lose pressure, then pick up again.
This cycle would continue making the pressure washer useless. The engine ran well, but there is a problem with the pump. It is garbage as far as I am concerned.
I wish I had spent more money on a better unit.
PWD RESPONDS: New Karcher products have a 1 year factory warranty.
If you click on the Customer Service button at the bottom of our web site, then select Service Centers and click on the Karcher logo you will be able to find the closest Factory Service Center to your location.
Be sure to bring a copy of your receipt to the repair shop so they can do the warranty paperwork. |

| A lot of bang for your buck |
| By Pressure Washers Direct (Bolingbrook, IL) |
If you want a lot of bang for your buck, you won’t go wrong with this pressure washer from Karcher.
Their German engineered, durable pump is paired with a reliable, easy to start Honda engine that can handle any cleaning chore around the house.
Space isn’t a problem, since the handle folds down for easy storage and a handy detergent tank is built right into the cart. |

| Don't recommend |
| By Some Body (Some Town, VA) |
My wife bought me one of these units from Sam's Club (which no longer sells this unit) as a birthday gift. The unit's setup and maintenance are easy and straightforward.
The real downside of the unit is the Honda engine that powers it and its setup. As configured, the unit will provide pressure for a few seconds, then back off, then provide pressure again, etc. I'm not sure if it's the Honda engine itself or the setup configuration with the pump, but I'm very disappointed after having this unit for three years now.
It's fine for light power washing if you don't really need consistent pressure, but if you're looking for a top-flight unit you're probably better off with another make and model.
PWD RESPONDS: Karcher provides a one year factory warranty on all new pressure washers that may have been able to correct this problem. Even though you are out of the warranty period you can call Karcher Tech Support at 800-537-4129 or go online to http://www.karcherresidential.com/en/support_turnpike.php for tips that may help your unit run better. |

| Karcher 2600 PSI (Gas-Cold Water) Pressure Washer w/ Honda Engine Review |
| By Thomas Mock |
| I returned this unit for a credit after having it for a little over a month. This unit was serviced three times due to the engine shutting off when in use. The service station could not repair and suggested I return this unit. Technician highly recommends that I should stay away from Honda engines designated with GC (residential use) and opt for the GX (commercial use). The GC engines simply are not made well when used constantly. I, on the other hand, used this unit a total of three times, and unit was giving me trouble. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. |

| How to Dispense Soap with a Pressure Washer |
| By Jon Hoch, Founder (Bolingbrook, IL) |
The video does a great job explaining the difference between concentrated and non-concentrated detergents.
However, another option also exists. You can actually buy concentrated detergent inside a dissolvable gel pouch.
You simply drop a soap pack into your detergent tank and let it dissolve for a couple minutes. If you don't have a built-on deterent tank, you can simply drop one into a bucket of water.
Mix one soap pack per quart. Basically, you use 4 soap packs to make a gallon of detergent.
Since they're concentrated, they're extremely lightweight and costs much less to ship than a heavy gallon of water. |
