| I would not buy this unit again. |
| By james glendening (Del Mar, CA) |
You need to be sure the authorized service center is near you. Mine was 25 miles away, which is 100 miles round trip to leave off and pick up.
The reconditioned version only has a 30 day warranty and the new one is 1 to 2 years, depending on the part, for less than $100 more.
Mine came with an automatic throttle that does not function correctly. I cannot get full pressure while using the unit without over-revving the engine on idle. As it is, the unit drops to idle while washing and delivers maybe 1200 PSI pressure, far from the 3000PSI it's supposed to have.
Karcher has no human Tech Support. I can only get a human when I try their Parts line. The only Tech Support is online. I emailed a picture with a clear description, and Karcher's online support suggested I disassemble and re-grease the unloader, or call a Honda engine dealer as "it could be the engine."
I did phone the (25 mile away) Karcher service center, and they gave me the number of a Honda engine tech. The Honda tech suggested the engine should have had a throttle. There appears to be no manual adjustment for pressure on the pump. The people at the service centers tried to be helpful over the phone, but in the end I am left with a malfunctioning unit, a 100 miles of driving, and my 30 day warranty has run out.
Pressure Washers Direct.com would have reshipped the unit had I got back to them within the 30 days, but I did not.
I had a 6.5 hp B&S PW that I bought from a Big Box store 18 years ago. I had to return the first one for a leak in the pump, and the second ran for 18 years before I stupidly left it out over night and it was stolen. It was a far superior unit to the Karcher.
In summary, everyone tried. Pressure Washers Direct.com is not at fault. There are just too many risks in buying a reconditioned pressure washer because almost ANYTHING will take far more time than returning something to a local store if you need an exchange. You can exchange a new one. Trying to repair inherited problems is just not worth the grief and the response from Karcher was underwhelming. |

| Terrific Value And A Great Job |
| By Mitch Czuk (Federal Way, WA) |
I purchased the unit last month. I was concerned living in Washington if the weather conditions would cooperate to give the unit an adequate test before the 30 day warranty period.
I initially tested it cleaning for about one hour and the unit performed well. This week I really put it to the test: I cleaned my long driveway using the unit for about 4 hours in one day- 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.
I was impressed on how well it cleaned. In Washington, pressure washing is an annual ritual. I had a lot of mold on the driveway, some that has been there for years. I used the sharpest spray tip and removed all the mold and mildew build up and admired how clean this machine got my driveway.
It even cleaned the areas my Karcher electric pressure washer (1500psi) I used last year, missed. The professional style wand is very nice and the different spray tips are easy to exchange.
The machine goes a great job and the value is terrific. I'm glad I saved the money over a new model.
One thing I noticed was the amount of vibration the entire unit has while its running- probably because of the large engine for the pumping power. After one hour of cleaning my driveway the garden hose connection began to leak.
I guess I didn't tighten the garden hose well enough when I started and the vibration loosened the connection. When I noticed the leak, I retightened the connection and had no more problems.
I've got several other jobs for this unit and I'm looking forward to using it again.
My last pressure washer was a Karcher 1500psi electric washer. I had it for 8 years and it worked well on
small projects, but it wasn't up to the challenge of running for hours at a time.
I decided to trust Karcher again but this time with a gas model for bigger projects. I'm not disappointed. |

| Love this machine and the job it has done! |
| By Chuck Gauss (Toledo, OH) |
This operation from beginning to end was a well oiled machine. I ordered this pressure washer on Tuesday at mid-day. By the next day, less than 24 hours later, I was using it.
What a beautiful running machine, and the results are nothing short of amazing. My mouth is still hanging open- other companies do not hold a candle to this one. I salute you for a job beyound well done.
Thank you, honestly! |

| A must buy |
| By Foster White Jr (Opelika, AL) |
I am so very glad I bought this piece of equipment! It has cut my work time almost in half.
I washed a 100', very dirty driveway in about 1 1/2 hours. If you do not have this accessory, get one now and you will see your work time lessen.
One great thing I discovered while doing this driveway was that I could let a small portion of the T350 hang over the edge of the drive way and it acted like an edger. The grass that was coming over the edge of the driveway was cut away and a very small trench was cut right next to the drive way.
This one tool did the work of two and all at the same time. I am very hard to impress; but I am impressed. |
