Q: Does it have a soap tank? by Myron Neff from Illinois on October 03, 2011
A: This model does NOT have a soap tank on the unit. This machine uses a siphon hose to pull detergent. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: I have a small tee shirt printing business that I use an electric pressure washer to clean my screens . The type I am using just doesn't hold up for more than six months. Will this machine work for two hours every working day and last any length of time? I also keep it attached to the garden hose all the time, does this hurt it? by Ken from Georgia on July 19, 2011
A: We do quite a bit of business with people in the same industry you are in and our suggestion for something like this really moves into the commercial line of pressure washers. You don't need anything huge, but you need something with good quality and these cheap little Karcher units just don't cut it. You have the same problem everyone else has. I would suggest taking a look at the electric Pressure Pro units, Kranzle or Cam Spray. They have some smaller units and are very high quality. You pay more on the front end, but you are not going to have to replace for years. With Kranzle, it would most likely be the last pressure washer you ever purchase.

Q: I am looking at the Karcher "follow me" pressure washer, does it ship assembled, or does it need assembly when it arrives? by Barb Kral from Ohio on June 16, 2011
A: For the most part this is assembled. The assembly that would have to be done would be extremely minor, but would be pretty much ready to go.

Q: Does this pressure washer include a wand type tip? I don't want just a point stream, I need a fan type to cover more area. by John from Illinois on April 19, 2011
A: This model pressure washer comes with an adjustable fan spray wand and also a rotating turbo nozzle. By twisting the adjustable wand, you will either increase or decrease the fan spray pattern size. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Have a Karcher K2.93 Plus that will no longer power up. Have tried the reset and test buttons with no success. Any suggestions before I open this baby up. Am particularary concerned about breaching the watertight seal. Any suggestions would be appreciated. by Larry from Texas on April 17, 2011
A: If the unit is less than a year old, it will be covered under warranty and you should contact Karcher about the issue to get it replaced. If not, I would try multiple outlets if you havent already. Also confirm that the GFCI plug is not tripped or constantly tripping. Finally, confirm that the circuit breaker in your house has not tripped.
As for the pressure washer itelf, just the on/off switch could be bad which is sometimes a common issue with electric pressure washers and can usually be replaced. Unfortunately we do not sell parts for electric pressure washers. If the problem is not any of these issues, you are probably dealing with a motor issue and more than likely it is not repairable through a replacement part. If the motor is bad, a replacement unit is the best option versus attempting to repair it. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Can any kind of liquid soap be used In the Karcher? by Ken from Ohio on March 29, 2011
A: No definitely not. You want to make sure that the detergent(s) you are using are "pressure washer safe". Normal soaps/detergents that are not "pressure washer safe" will absolutely dry out the seals in the pump and eventually cause them to fail.
I posted a link to all of the "pressure washer safe" detergents that we carry:
Q: What happens when you use hot water in a Karcher electric power washer? I never knew they were (Electric-Cold Water) listed. by Bob Mills from Michigan on March 25, 2011
A: Karcher's cold water pressure washers can accept water up to 104F degrees. This is common with all cold water pressure washers. Using water hotter than 104F degrees in a cold water pressure washer will definitely damage and wear away the seals in the pump, causing the pump to fail. This is the fastest way to damage a pump that is rated for "cold water". by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Just bought the Karcher 3.74 from you guys. What is the "Pump Guard" which is recommended for storing and protecting the pump? And how do I use such? by Preben Jensen from California on March 24, 2011
A: The Karcher pump guard is a chemical that is designed to extend the life of the pump and the seals within. Pump guard or pump saver as it is also called, will lubricate the seals in the pump and also prevent any water that is left inside the pump from freezing during the colder months.
To use this product, you simply attach it to your garden hose water inlet fitting and turn the machine on for a few seconds. Once the chemical exits the outlet high pressure fitting, the pump is protected.
You should defintely run this chemical through the pump every time you are going to store your pressure washer away for extended periods of time such as over 30 days. You should also run this chemical through the pump periodically throughout the year to keep the seals moist. by Bill, Product Expert

Poor Customer Service at Karcher
I ordered this pressure washer for my Husband for his birthday and he was thrilled with it. He loves how light weight it is and that it moves on wheels.
He used it the very next day to wash his car. Unfortunately, only fifteen minutes into the wash, the high pressure hose got a hole in it!! We were both really bummed that this happened and it kind of put a damper on the excitement of his birthday gift.
I did call Karcher to get a replacement hoses are under 90 day warranty and one is on its way....however, the service person I was connected with at Karcher was less than nice. After explaining what happened, her statement was You mean you got a whole in a high pressured hose? with much sarcasm. I am sure I am not the first person to have this problem. She continued to ask rudely how long I had the product!!! Her tone indicating that she must have thought I had it for a while. I hope she was just having a bad day and not like this to all customers!!!
In summary, great product until the hose broke. Hope the replacement hose holds up better. Poor customer service [at Karcher]!!

Good for small jobs
I already wrote about my initial impression. Now, few weeks later and one long driveway “pressure washed” I can say that this small machine is good for small jobs.
More ambitious projects would probably require gas pressure washer. Yet, this one has not disappointed me at all.
My friend will get one from me for his birthday this month. I think it will be a very good gift for meditation!

A good sign
Pressure washer arrived just in few days. It did not require any complex assembly to speak of.
This is my second electric pressure washer. The first one was by Husky from a Big Box store. It was very heavy and broke after three years of a very light use.
The very first impression while unpacking washer by Karcher 1500 PSI is its very light weight. I view this as a very real and practical advantage. It is quiet as majority of residential electric pressure washers. It creates adequate flow and pressure for a car washing.
I am planning to wash my driveway later this summer. It will be a first real test for this machine. Time only will show if it is also built well for intermittent residential use.
The only problem so far is impractical connection to potential reservoir with soap. The plastic tubing must be longer. I will have to find a way to extend it.
P.S. I have already ordered a gas edger and gas blower from Mowers Direct. It is clear that this company cares for its name and service they provide. This is a good sign.

This is a great little machine. Its very lightweight but still seems sturdy.
I've had it for two weeks and so far have used it to clean my old redwood deck for recoating, to prepare very weathered teak furniture for staining, and to clean a driveway and flagstone walk.
The pressure level is perfect for wood. It took a bit more time on the stone and concrete, but it still did a decent job.

Again?....you bet
I bought the model K2.20 this time. My first Karcher lasted eight years. I used the heck out of it until it died.
I certainly got my money out of it.
I live near the beach and get a lot of greenish staining on the concrete from dampness. I also am a car guy so there is always a task for my Karcher.
This model is light and easy to carry. Plenty of power for around the house and my collector cars.
A fine product indeed. Thank you Karcher.

Job made easier
This is my 2nd Karcher and I love my latest one.
It's LIGHT weight is easier to use, and the four wheels follows you around.

Excellent pressure washer
I called your company as someone had used a model 410 on my house and it was great. I was told this model I bought would take it s place.
It has worked just great, tickled to have it.
I did not know they made small ones like this, it does an excellent job on old cottage wood and docks and treated wood- washed the mold off.
We love it.

Great Pressure Washer
I bought the Model K220 from Pressure Washer Direct mainly because of the sale price. I am very happy with the K2!
The first time I used it I washed my two Jeeps, the shingles on our guest house and two outside walls of our house. My wife claims I was in a Pressure Washing Frenzy!
This is a very good unit and I recommend it.

Did not disappoint
I bought this machine to replace a Campbell Hausfeld that I had for years that finally died.
I chose this one based on reviews here and on other websites and I am not disappointed. It washes cars, cleans driveways, lawn furniture and everything else well.
I am now getting my house ready to paint and it did a great job cleaning and blowing off the loose paint. It seems to be well constructed and durable, as long as it stands the test of time I will be satisfied.
One thing I did notice when looking at pressure washers: this model is made in Germany and the the ones that are sold locally at the big box stores are made in China. I wonder if that makes a difference?

Effective
This washer replaced another brand which gave out after an 8 year use.
Its features that we wanted included the a low profile, ability to roll with use and lightweight portability. It was easy assemble, quiet in operations, and effective for the small jobs it is used for in this household.
Time will tell concerning durability.

Great Pressure Washer
I wanted a new pressure washer, and having owned Karchers and others I went back to Karcher.
This little guy is lightweight and packs a lot of punch. I will be buying more for my daughters. You can lift it up a ladder very easily to reach those hard to reach places.
