Q: Can gas pressure washers be stored in an unheated garage for the winter months? I'm getting ready to buy, but don't want to ruin a new machine storing it in my garage over the winter. Thanks in advance for your help. by Tony Conti from Connecticut on September 29, 2011
A: Yes, you can store a pressure washer during the winter in an unheated garage. However, there are some precautions you must take. First of all, you definitely want to either drain the gasoline out of the tank or you can mix fuel stabilzer into the existing fuel. Secondly, you definitely want to add a pump saver chemical to the pump. If you do not take these 2 steps to "winterize" your pressure washer, you will absolutely ruin your machine. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Hi Bill, My home is on a gradiant, front of the house is 2 stories, the back is 3 stories. Will this product (karcher kg 31317) provide the neccessary pressure and distance to wash the windows and siding on the 3rd floor of the house? Thank you. Rick. by Rick Bronson from Washington on March 27, 2011
A: The high pressure stream will definitely reach that high using the zero degree spray tip. However, you will only be able to spray detergent at low pressure which will only reach about 10-15'. We do carry a couple accessories that can be used to increase your spraying distance and allow you to spray detergent at high pressure. Using one of these attachments will definitely take care of what you need to do.

Awesome washer. I have had it for 3 years and it has been the best.
The Honda engine always starts easy and the washer will clean anything you take on. I also love the folding handle on the cart. I can fold it down and put it right in the back of my car.
This is also great for storing it in my small building. If you buy this washer, you will be happy with it.

Great machine
Great machines, I used the Ladder Saver at the end of the season and cut my time in half compared to the old 5.5 hp machine I had before.

Aluminum and vinyl siding
To remove surface dirt you need to apply an emulsifier containing a surfactant for the particular surface you wish to clean. This will do it.
To the reviewer with the aluminum siding problem: this low pressure applicator will NOT remove oxidized paint on aluminum siding...it was not designed to do that.
Using a rotary nozzle or a high pressure flat spray tip will do that, but BEWARE...you will also be removing the oxidized baked-on enamel paint on the face of the aluminum siding. The finished job could look really bad.
Be sure your insurance premiums are paid up cause you may be on the hook for a new siding job for this customer. Of course, if this is your house...not to worry. It will remind you daily of your mistake.

Don't waste your money. If I could get my money back I would.
I have a 3300 psi washer and the thing did not go 60, I was lucky to get 30 out if it and no pressure
at all.
I purchased this so I would not have to buy the 24' extender wand. I guess I will be buying the wand.

Good for washing down but not for cleaning.
I am a bit disappointed in this product.
This tool definitely shoots the water in tighter concentrated area and is good for pre-soaking and detergent application.
However, on aluminum siding this tool did nothing to really wash off the dust, dirt, grime that had built up over the years.
I still had to switch to the yellow tip nozzle and haul the ladder around to get close enough to truly wash it. The yellow tip's pressure made a huge difference that the Ladder Saver could not do.
But if you want something that will wet everything down, apply the detergent, and rinse it off- then this is the tool for you. But not if you want or need to really clean it.
I used it with a John Deere 3800 PSI 4.0 GPM pressure washer and I had no problem getting the soap to be siphoned.

Ladder Saver Not All That It Seems
I was excited to receive my Ladder Saver and put it right to work. The only problem was that it wouldn't pull detergent through the siphon tubing.
It sprays at least 60 feet of clear water (good for rinsing) but if you have a machine like mine (John Deere, 3300 psi, 3.2 GPM), according to Ladder Saver, Inc., you will also need to buy a Chemical Injector.
I wish there was just one product I could use and not two.

How to Clean Without a Ladder
I have wanted to test this product for a while, and I finally had the time to clean my siding this past weekend.
The Ladder Saver LS55 surprised me with its power and range. Watching the product video impressed me, but once I used the Ladder Saver I was amazed at the power that came out of this little piece of metal.
The water this thing moves is truly something! I thought it was going to take an entire weekend to get this job done.
I have a large surface area to clean since the house is 2 stories tall with some tricky angles involved.
The Ladder Saver snapped easily onto the wand of my Karcher 3600psi pressure washer. It saved me at least an hour of moving a ladder into position over and over again.
Not only that, the Ladder Saver cleaned those steep, tricky angles with no problem. The spray completely reached the top of the house, which has to be close to 30 feet.
The spray is even and strong, and I didn't have to worry about a too-thin application of cleaner or rinsing water.
One nice feature of the Ladder Saver is that its power allows you to stand far enough away so the back spray off the house doesn't completely soak you! It was very nice not having to change out of wet clothes.
Here is the way I see it: the Ladder Saver seems expensive for a small piece of metal, but the results are WELL WORTH THE PRICE in my book.
I recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to mess with a ladder or an extension wand. It is very easy to attach and use!

Far Exceeded My Expectations!!
It's not often that you can find a product which far and away exceeds your expectations after purchasing it - but in this case the Ladder Saver did just that!
The ability to pinpoint my windows and molding while keeping other areas safe from a direct stream at 50 + feet away was fantastic. I am always a little nervous wielding a sprayer while on a ladder but this allowed me to safely stay on the ground for most of my applications.
The quick connect fittings and ability to use the same tip for soaping & rinsing make this a huge time saver that will make your money back in just one job with the time that you save.
I would highly recommend the Ladder Saver to anyone looking to get the most out of their pressure washer and time!

Ladder Saver
I'm 17 years old and this is my 3rd year doing pressure washing as my summer job.
My boss gives me the freedom to do as many houses as I please. I couldn't get as many houses done as I would have liked because it was a hassle moving, climbing, and setting up ladders on bigger houses.
I figured there had to be an easier way. I looked around on the Internet and found the Ladder Saver. WOW. I can do twice as many house with half the amount of energy spent on work.
My company and I do not know what we did without the Ladder Saver! THANKS LADDER SAVER!!

Ladder Saver Long Range Soap and Rinse
This product is the best I have seen and I wonder why there has not been something like this before.
This nozzle does just what it says and keeps me off of the ladder while still doing the job. I am impressed to be able to powerwash a building from the ground without ever getting on a ladder.
Thank you Ladder Saver.

Great Product
I have a two-story house that has siding that must be washed each year. Using the LadderSaver nozzle, I can leave my ladder in the garage. The LadderSaver allows me to wash the siding and the windows in one operation. I just use a soap and bleach solution, then rinse. The dirt and mildew are gone. Thanks LadderSaver!
