Seamless Replacement
I bought the GX because the sheave size fit the motor from my own pump. I appreciate that the kit supplied with the pump mounts directly to my Honda engine.

The instructions are vague as to "obvious" things like which way is up (your picture has the oil fill hole on the side ala manual transmissions) vs. the casting lettering suggests oil fill on top. Or does it matter? And where one gets 20W-50 non-detergent synthetic oil since it seems unavailable in my area.

James,
The folks at Pressure-Pro sent us the product picture- I'm sorry you found it confusing. Depending on the pressure washer's design pumps can be mounted off the back, on the bottom, to the side- there really isn't a "standard installation".

The Install Guide PDF Download that we post to our web page (under the Specs tab, right hand side of the page) was the best that we could find. Most replacement pumps are sold to repair shops that already know how to install them.

We sell Pump Oil, but you should be able to find it at your local WalMart, Sears or Big Box store. The container will say Pump Oil, and they usually put in a different area than their automotive engine oil.

Small & Powerful
I did not want to spend the money for a new pressure washer. The Honda motor that the old DeVilbiss pump came off of is a very good power plant, although the old DeVilbiss pump was cheap and weak.

This small and powerful Giant pump bolted on easily and works great. I expect to get many years of service out of this washer. This is a residential use pump that, if needed, can be rebuilt at some distant point in the future.

The pump does not come with the hose connector displayed in the... more

Unfortunately, Have To Go The Store To Get Parts....
From the picture, it shows both inlet & outlet connections. Sadly, does not come with either so I have to go to the store & spend TIME and Money to get a functioning unit.

Also, the Key Drive is NOT included, so 3/16 key drive will also be on the purchase list. By the way, others are selling same pump with all the items above for only $10 more.

Matthew,
If you take a look at the Features for this unit, it will say:
Not Included:
•Thermal relief valve, high pressure discharge fitting,
•Siphon hose, & bypass valve
•Can be purchased separately or as SLPGZH2525A-069

We grayed out the outlet fitting since we knew it wasn't included. We'll be happy to check with the folks at Pressure-Pro to see if they are no longer including the inlet fitting, and update our page.

We will also check and see if the Slap Happy version has been updated. That package has the connectors in it, but you would still have to use the old key.

Devilbiss Replacement
I purchased this to replace a DeVilbiss. PWD had the best price by far, even after the extras that had to be purchased. The directions on this site are helpful, I didn't read them and had to make several calls to find you need a 316 square axle key, one did not come with the pump and the manual is for the pump itself so no mention of it there either. You'll have to purchase a 12 inlet port as one does not come with the pump and the old one is 38, I put that on tomorrow and I should be ready... more
