Q: Does the thing heat its own water, and can it be mounted outside, exposed to the elements?

A: This would not heat its own water. The warm water would mean it can handle hot water going through it up to 180 degrees.

This is not a NEMA 3 enclosure and would not be able to handle the elements. It would have to be enclosed somehow.
