Only Extreme 'user-error' Could Ruin This One
I'm a General Contractor in painting and light construction and this is by far my favorite tool in the van. I got this unit as a gift from an architect friend.

Previously I had the original CAT branded pressure washer with Yamaha engine, but it was discontinued. This Yamaha branded unit was the replacement model, apparently. Nobody makes a finer unit in any class. This thing is built rock solid. Starts 1st or 2nd time, every time. It's relatively quiet.

Removes dried paint, caulk, and... more
Pros: Durable, Reliable, High Quality, Easy To Store
Cons: Heavy

Excellent Work Pro Pressure Washer
I bought this for my masonry / concrete business I've had it for the last 2.5 years, running it on average 4 hours a day. In my 33 years of business I have worn out a good many PWs, but have purchased 2 more of these. I have nothing but good things to say about the PW4040.

Comes with the normal attachments, but this is where the similarities end- the quality is second to none. The engine alone is on par with similar Honda engines, which I have held to high stands over the years, but it... more
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Exceeded Expectations, High Quality

Best Pressure Washer For Corporate Work!!
Started with Homelite 2300 PSI, upgraded to Ryobi 3100 PSI, and had just been praying to get to the next level- and then I found Yamaha!! I get jobs done so much faster it's crazy!!

Love it. Please come out with a 6000 PSI or even 10,000 PSI. It will use it for a life time.

Thank you very much- I love it!

Fyi: Potentially No Warranty Service [in Florida]
I would like to start off with saying that I have not purchased this unit...

I was going to and the last step in my research was to find an authorized service center in North/Central FL (Orlando, Tampa, Ocala, Jacksonville area).. My research started on the internet. There were plenty of Yamaha authorized locations listed around me but, none (0) of them serviced Yamaha pressure washers. Boat motors, motorcycles, generators and etc.,yes but no pressure washer service..

I called 10... more

Think Twice
Used this about 3 times. On the last time, a part came off the trigger handle. Now, it won't work or release the handle...pressure cannot be release because trigger broke. Dealers are few and far between. Yamaha customer service of no help. I'm a contractor and cannot get this think fixed. The Yamaha product manager needs to pay attention. $1200 for something that does not work and you can't get it fixed. I have more than $10,000 work. Yamaha, you are stinkin' bad...
