In its most basic form, a pressure washer is simply a motor (or engine) and a pump.
While it may sound really simple, not all electric motors and gas engines are the same.
Electric Power Washers
Electric motors come in two varieties -- universal and induction. Universal (or brush) motors are typically found in small appliances. They are able to perform the job at a very inexpensive price. If you rarely use your pressure washer, you can save some money by buying an electric power washer with a universal motor.
Induction motors, however, do not contain any brushes. As a result, they typically do not burn out as quickly as universal motors. If you want your power washer to last, we recommend spending a few extra dollars to get an induction motor instead.
Gas Pressure Washers
Many homeowners are very particular about the brand of engine they purchase. Some insist on Honda. Others demand Briggs & Stratton.
Either way, Pressure Washers Direct has made it easy for you. Simply click on the engine brand that you prefer to see our complete line of gas pressure washers.
