Great Machine!
I have only used this pressure washer once so far but it was amazing! Easy to finish putting together...instructions very self explained.

I used it to wash our 3 garage doors and part of the driveway. My husband washed car also. Spent several hours problem with it at just kept cleaning. I love it--not sure why I haven't bought one before now.

I looked at a lot of different kinds and read a lot of reviews before choosing this one. I'm very pleased with it so... more

Not What I Expected
I bought this unit to replace a 20 year+ unit I bought at a big box hardware chain. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase. I attempted to wash some garden furniture and all this unit could do is provide a lame stream of water. I shut it down and went back to my old machine which did a great job.

While using this unit the hose connections torqued up so much it is impossible to break it down without the machine sustaining damage.
Cons: Low Quality, Durability, Expensive

I'm sorry you're having problems with your pressure washer- you should have plenty of pressure for most around-the-house tasks. Usually the first thing we look for with not enough pressure is a large enough garden hose (at least 5/8 inch) and city water with at least 2 GPM. Since your old pressure washer worked fine, that doesn't seem like it would be an issue.

If you've run through the troubleshooting guide that starts on Page 15 of your Owner's Manual and you're still not getting a powerful spray, please give the folks at Karcher a call at (800) 537-4129. Please also have the serial number of your unit handy when you call them so they can assist you as quickly as possible.

When using high pressure hose it's important to lay it out straight, and continue to watch behind you to prevent any twists or kinks from occurring.

Very Satisfied With Initial Use
Excellent machine, well built and easy to understand.

Electric cord or water line could have been longer but because your instruction required no extension cord could be used, it was barely long enough to reach the corners of my property. I have two outlets on the exterior of my house so it was necessary to go in and out the windows to use some of the interior plugs. Can a longer extension be purchased for the water supply?
Pros: Durable, Quiet, Exceeded Expectations, High Quality

Karcher requires a 5/8" supply hose and doesn't recommend using an extension cord. Getting enough water to the pump is essential to get the best performance- you can use a longer supply hose as long as you have enough water to get 2 GPM coming out of the end of it (your Owner's Manual tells you an easy way to measure GPM).

The Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) plug on your unit is for your safety- that's why Karcher says an extension cord can't be used. Care must be taken, if you choose to use an extension cord, that it's a heavy enough gauge to carry the power the pressure washer needs, and that you've taken steps to keep it away from water (puddling and overspray). This would be your choice, we don't recommend it- and neither Karcher nor Pressure Washers Direct would be responsible for any damage or injury.
