Q: What is the length of the hose from the washer tot he wand?
by Dan on February 19, 2012

A: This machine comes with a 20 ft high pressure hose to go from the machine to the trigger gun and spray wand.

The hose can be extended by 25 ft if you purchased the CH hose model PW1021. I am posting a link below to this item on our site:

by Mike, Product Expert
Q: other sites (3) show this model to have an induction motor. You show it to have a universal motor. Please clarify as I'm trying to narrow my choice by induction motor and price.
by Anthony on February 10, 2012

A: This machine is definitely powered by a universal motor. This information can be found in the owner's manual that we have linked under the specs tab for this machine.
by Mike, Product Expert
Q: How many nozzles does this come with and does it clean mortar and paint.
by Anonymous on October 08, 2011

A: This machine comes with only one adjustable fan spray wand. There are NOT multiple tips for this machine. In regards to the cleaning capability of this machine, yes it will do a general cleaning of brick and painted surfaces. However, this machine is not powerful enough to strip paint from those surfaces.
by Mike, Product Expert
Q: Does the wand have a locking station so you don't have to continually squeeze?

I just ordered the CH 1800 psi

by Bill Salters from Mississippi on October 02, 2011

A: No it does not. There are not going to be any trigger guns available with a locking trigger. This would be considered a safety hazard and manufacturers will not produce such an item due to liability reasons.

All trigger guns for all pressure washers are designed in the same way, without that type of feature.
by Mike, Product Expert
Q: Do I need a hose to use this or is it portable, with the water housed on the unit itself?
by Brad from California on September 21, 2011

A: This machine does need a water source provided thru a garden hose. This unit does NOT have it's own water tank on board.
by Mike, Product Expert
Q: does this item have a wobble pump or a different unit? Does it have an induction motor?
by Linda from New York on June 10, 2011

A: This unit would have a universal motor and a wobble pump.

Thanks,

Q: I'm looking to purchase this pressure washer to clean my paved driveway, would this model work for that?
by Liz from New York on May 25, 2011

A: This would work, but it would take you quite a while. You may also have some issues if trying to remove some heavy stains.

Thanks,

Pressure Washers Direct
by Mike, Product Expert
Q: Does this unit come with 2 spray wands. What is turbo wand?
by Phil from Washington on May 22, 2011

A: This unit is going to come with a trigger gun and two lance connections. One will be a high pressure and low pressure lance. The other would be the turbo/rotary nozzle. This is going to be used for tough stains and gives a high concentrated burst of water and it is will spin to make cleaning easier.

Thanks,

Q: could I use this system to wash screens on my lanai? ch1800 campbell hausfeld
by Mary from Florida on May 08, 2011

A: Yes, this would be fine for doing what you would like. I would just suggest starting the unit on low pressure and then bringing the pressure up as needed.

Thanks,

by Mike, Product Expert
Q: I just placed my order for the CH1800 and i was wondering is this good for washing cars? Its the main reason im buying it for.
And would you recomment any accessories for what im going to be using it for?

by Sarkis M Semerdjian from California on April 28, 2011

A: Campbell Hausfeld is one of the largest manufacturers of pressure washers and they make very good quality pressure washers. For your use, this pressure washer would work perfectly and you will be very satisfied.

As for any accessories that could be used, we carry a rotating brush head model PW1011 that would be compatible with the pressure washer you purchased. This accessory could be used on all surfaces but particulary works great on rims/tires or on areas of the vehicle such as the grill to remove stubborn bug stains.

I am posting a link below to the rotating brush that I am referring to:

by Mike, Product Expert
Q: Can the CH1800 use a rotating brush head?
by Rich from New York on April 24, 2011

A: Yes you can definitely use a rotating brush head with this model pressure washer. I would recommend that you purchase a Campbell Hausfeld brand rotating brush to ensure compatibility.

I am posting a link below to a Campbell Hausfeld rotating brush that we carrry:

Q: Does this washer come with two wands. One that rotates and the other a direct spray.
by John from Virginia on April 20, 2011

A: Yes, this model pressure washer comes with an adjustable spray wand and a rotary turbo nozzle wand.
by Mike, Product Expert
Q: Hi Bill I own one of your 1800 pressure washers and it worked great when I put it away for the winter , but when I went to use it this spring I could not get any high pressure from it can you suggest somthing it is 3 yrs old Rick
by Rick Voci from Massachusetts on April 07, 2011

A: More than likely there was water left in the pump when you put it away for storage and the water froze. This would cause the water to expand and damage the seals inside the pump. If this is what happened, you will have to replace the pressure washer. There is a product called "pump saver/pump guard" that can be used on pumps to prevent this from happening.

I am posting a link to the pump saver product I am referring to:

Q: Do you ship this item to Australia? If so, how much would shipping be?
by Jacque on March 31, 2011

A: Unfortunately we do not ship products outside of the U.S. Sorry, I would be unable to quote you on shipping this product to Australia.
by Mike, Product Expert
Q: Does thismodel have built in detergent tanks, I don't want a separarte hand held bottle.
by Jack L. Mayberry from California on March 30, 2011

A: No this model does not have a detergent tank onboard. This unit comes with a detergent bottle for soap application. All of the Campbell Hausfeld electric models that we carry come with a detergent bottle instead of a detergent tank.

We chose this unit for our "Good" slot because it packs a lot of features into a good price.

The ease of using this machine along with it's on-board tool storage makes this model a great choice for the average homeowner. The PW1825 has an instant start/stop feature that helps protect the motor and pump from burning out and prolongs the overall life of the machine.

Considering the price and reliability of this unit, it's a great entry-level electric pressure washer.

Plastic Connector Should Be Brass
You make a great little power washer except for the cheap plastic hook-up that you supply. THROW IT AWAY AND SUPPLY A BRASS HOOK-UP. Your future customers will love you for it and you can also take back the bonus you gave the design guy who said that the plastic hose hook-up would do just as good.

I would immediately get rid of the plastic for BRASS and demote the design engineer to handle the trash.

Other than the aforementioned, GREAT PRODUCT.
Pros: Price, Light Weight, Quiet, Exceeded Expectations
Cons: The Cheap Plastic For The Garden Hose Hook-up Should Be Brass

John,
The competition for small electric pressure washers is fierce- folks want the lowest price, and unfortunately even a couple dollars added to a price point can make a real difference.

You may want to add a brass quick connect set to the hose connection; it will help save wear and tear on the plastic threads.

If you'd like to contact the design team at Campbell Hausfeld you can call 800-330-0712 with your feedback...

Wanted To Love It!
I have had a small 1400 PSI from HD for 13 years & it's still running. I purchased this one in 2012. I use a pressure washer no more than twice in a season, I thought this worked great the first time I used it! Great pressure, light weight &, easy to store.

I agree with the other reviewers about the cheap hose attachment but I think they are all the same. I thought this unit was great and thought it would last. On my 4th use, last month, the pressure hose snapped! How could anyone... more

Wise Purchase
Before using it, I bought a brass hose coupling as suggested by other reviewers. Total cost was still a bargain. And the machine works better than I expected.

WA moss is no problem for this little guy. You don't need 2500 psi. Peels loose paint but does not seem to scour wood unless you use the narrowest stream. Easy to carry up and down stairs. Long power cord and hose make life easier. Very pleased so far.

Adequate
Purchased pressure washer to do small jobs around the house.

During the set-up of hose connection, found out that the plastic connector from pressure washer to hose leaked badly... had to purchase another connector and modified.
Pros: Price, Easy To Use, Light Weight
Cons: Plastic Connector
Eddie Recommends This Campbell Hausfeld Product
Mike, the Pressure Washer Expert
Product Expert
Eddie,
If it's the connection between the garden hose and the pressure washer that leaks, replacing the garden hose gasket (about $.25 at hardware & grocery stores) and using some Teflon pipe tape (about $1 at hardware & grocery stores) will help cut down on the leaks.

Since the plastic is vulnerable, using a quick connect kit (under $5 for plastic, under $10 for brass at hardware stores) will save wear & tear on the connector & your knuckles.

No argument- brass would be better, but it's more expensive to use. The competition for small electric pressure washers is fierce and every penny of a price point is strategically calculated.

Almost Good
Instructions do not show or describe which way to install the water inlet adapter so of course, we installed it backwards. This stripped the threads (the hose thread and the inlet thread are very similar). I was quickly sent another which is marked which end goes where.

Adequate performance but being used to my 3500psi unit at the other house, I would like more pressure - but it cleaned everything I needed cleaned.
Pros: Price, Easy To Use, Reliable
Cons: Bad Instructions

Leaky Connection
The plastic coupling that connects the water hose has leaked from Day 1. Nothing I do makes it stop leaking. The waterhose has to be turned completely off when not in use. It leaks badly. I am pleased with the washer--the power, the longer length of the hose, etc.--so the only complaint I have is the leaking water hose connection piece.
Pros: Price, Easy To Use, I'd Buy It Again, Good Pressure
Cons: Leaky Connector
