Q: other sites (3) show this model to have an induction motor. You show it to have a universal motor. Please clarify as I'm trying to narrow my choice by induction motor and price. by Anthony on February 10, 2012
A: This machine is definitely powered by a universal motor. This information can be found in the owner's manual that we have linked under the specs tab for this machine. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: How many nozzles does this come with and does it clean mortar and paint. by Anonymous on October 08, 2011
A: This machine comes with only one adjustable fan spray wand. There are NOT multiple tips for this machine. In regards to the cleaning capability of this machine, yes it will do a general cleaning of brick and painted surfaces. However, this machine is not powerful enough to strip paint from those surfaces. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Does the wand have a locking station so you don't have to continually squeeze?
I just ordered the CH 1800 psi by Bill Salters from Mississippi on October 02, 2011
A: No it does not. There are not going to be any trigger guns available with a locking trigger. This would be considered a safety hazard and manufacturers will not produce such an item due to liability reasons.
All trigger guns for all pressure washers are designed in the same way, without that type of feature. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Do I need a hose to use this or is it portable, with the water housed on the unit itself? by Brad from California on September 21, 2011
A: This machine does need a water source provided thru a garden hose. This unit does NOT have it's own water tank on board. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: does this item have a wobble pump or a different unit? Does it have an induction motor? by Linda from New York on June 10, 2011
A: This unit would have a universal motor and a wobble pump.
Q: Does this unit come with 2 spray wands. What is turbo wand? by Phil from Washington on May 22, 2011
A: This unit is going to come with a trigger gun and two lance connections. One will be a high pressure and low pressure lance. The other would be the turbo/rotary nozzle. This is going to be used for tough stains and gives a high concentrated burst of water and it is will spin to make cleaning easier.
Q: could I use this system to wash screens on my lanai? ch1800 campbell hausfeld by Mary from Florida on May 08, 2011
A: Yes, this would be fine for doing what you would like. I would just suggest starting the unit on low pressure and then bringing the pressure up as needed.
Q: I just placed my order for the CH1800 and i was wondering is this good for washing cars? Its the main reason im buying it for. And would you recomment any accessories for what im going to be using it for? by Sarkis M Semerdjian from California on April 28, 2011
A: Campbell Hausfeld is one of the largest manufacturers of pressure washers and they make very good quality pressure washers. For your use, this pressure washer would work perfectly and you will be very satisfied.
As for any accessories that could be used, we carry a rotating brush head model PW1011 that would be compatible with the pressure washer you purchased. This accessory could be used on all surfaces but particulary works great on rims/tires or on areas of the vehicle such as the grill to remove stubborn bug stains.
I am posting a link below to the rotating brush that I am referring to:

Q: Can the CH1800 use a rotating brush head? by Rich from New York on April 24, 2011
A: Yes you can definitely use a rotating brush head with this model pressure washer. I would recommend that you purchase a Campbell Hausfeld brand rotating brush to ensure compatibility.
I am posting a link below to a Campbell Hausfeld rotating brush that we carrry:
Q: Does this washer come with two wands. One that rotates and the other a direct spray. by John from Virginia on April 20, 2011
A: Yes, this model pressure washer comes with an adjustable spray wand and a rotary turbo nozzle wand. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Hi Bill I own one of your 1800 pressure washers and it worked great when I put it away for the winter , but when I went to use it this spring I could not get any high pressure from it can you suggest somthing it is 3 yrs old Rick by Rick Voci from Massachusetts on April 07, 2011
A: More than likely there was water left in the pump when you put it away for storage and the water froze. This would cause the water to expand and damage the seals inside the pump. If this is what happened, you will have to replace the pressure washer. There is a product called "pump saver/pump guard" that can be used on pumps to prevent this from happening.
I am posting a link to the pump saver product I am referring to:

Q: Do you ship this item to Australia? If so, how much would shipping be? by Jacque on March 31, 2011
A: Unfortunately we do not ship products outside of the U.S. Sorry, I would be unable to quote you on shipping this product to Australia. by Bill, Product Expert
Q: Does thismodel have built in detergent tanks, I don't want a separarte hand held bottle. by Jack L. Mayberry from California on March 30, 2011
A: No this model does not have a detergent tank onboard. This unit comes with a detergent bottle for soap application. All of the Campbell Hausfeld electric models that we carry come with a detergent bottle instead of a detergent tank. by Bill, Product Expert

Bill's Recommendation
We chose this unit for our "Good" slot because it packs a lot of features into a good price.
The ease of using this machine along with the onboard storage makes this model a great choice for the average homeowner. This model has an instant start/stop feature that protects the motor and pump from burning out and prolongs the overall life of the machine.
Considering the price and reliability of this pressure washer, this unit is a great entry level electric pressure washer.

All you need in an electric powered washer
Very good unit and quite ample for home use. Great feature is that it shuts itself off when you release the trigger.
Because it uses all the power of a household outlet (14 amps), if you need something more powerful, you need a gas powered washer.
A minor irritation is that as good as the unit is, it has a cheap plastic hose coupler that leaks like a sieve. They couldn't have supplied a brass fitting? Or doesn't China make them?

Don't run the pump without spraying water
I only had the pressure washer for one week and used it for a total of eight hours. When the other day I was pressure washing my concrete patio, I stopped for about two minutes to move couple of chairs off the patio. When I went back to start to wash the unit would not start back up again. There was water that would come out of the gun but the unit would not run. I checked, the circuit breaker on the GF I and it was fine. And I plugged the unit into another outlet to double check and it still would not run. I looked in the manual and it said it could have overheated to let it set. So I checked the next day, and it would not run this was on a Saturday. So I called, you guys at Power Equipment Direct and talked to Bob. He said, to call Campbell Hausfeld on Monday morning that they should replace the unit that sometimes these units have problems. He said that they would probably send me a new one and have me to junk out this one. Or they would send me a new one and have me returned the old one.
Call them on Monday Morning and talked to the lady there. She was not very nice. Or she was having a very bad morning already can I called her at 8:30AM. She drilled me on the way I operated the washer and said it could not be left on for more than one minute without turning the unit off and turning the water all. She said I probably burned up the pump and that I should have read it in the manual. I looked in the manual and never found a place where it says if you leave the machine on for over a minute to turn in all.I even asked her where it was in the manual and she would not tell me but kept saying it is in the manual. She said she would shipped me a return tag in the mail, and that I had to make sure every single piece that I was shipped to her was in that box when I send it back. She said this about three times very sternly. I just now received on Wednesday, the paper to send it back FedEx ground which they said it would take them another day to get here to pick it up. Which means Im going be without the pressure washer for another three or four days. I really need this unit this week to finish the work on my deck and other things before we leave to have to go to California for emergency thing for family business. I am very disappointed and very unhappy with this product in the service Ive gotten from Campbell Hausfeld. I dont think Ill ever buy another Campbell Hausfeld product because of the poor servers I have received from them. On the product you recommended me by.
PWD RESPONDS: On page 14 of the Owner's Manual, at the bottom of the page under "Tips For Extending the Life Of Your Pressure Washer" it says "...3. Running the unit without spraying water for more than one minute causes heat to build up in the pump. Running the unit without spraying water can damage pump components".

Worked fine
Very satisfied with this unit, so far. The PW1825 is very well designed, powerful and seems to be well made from quality materials.
I have been using it to clean cars, boats and greasy equipment worked fine for all of these applications.

So far Excellent
I have used this twice. It has perfromed exactly as I had hoped. It is easy to use.
I do recommend reading the entire manual before using. There are some little hints that a novice may not just recognize.

A smooth transaction
I checked the reviews on this model and they seemed to be good. The web site was easy to navigate and nicely laid out.
The price was very good and I saved shipping and AZ sales tax. I was emailed with the expected date of delivery and it arrived on that date.
A quick assembly and I was off to washing the deck and car port. The washer has lots of get up and go for what I require.
I would definitely purchase from Pressure Washers Direct again. Thank you for the smooth transaction.

Need More PSI for Tough Jobs
I bought this pressure washer because I didnt want another gasoline engine to maintain. While its probably fine for yearly maintenance, it doesnt have the PSI for a tougher job like a driveway or fence that hasnt been cleaned in a few years. Im not happy with this purchase because before I bought it, I asked if this unit was powerful enough for fences and driveways and I was told it was. The free shipping is deducted from the return price if you want to exchange the unit, though, so adding that with return shipping cost it looks like Ill be keeping this one, but Ill have to rent a more powerful washer for my tougher jobs.
PWD RESPONDS: 1800 PSI is strong enough to clean fences, patios, & walkways- but an 1800 PSI electric unit won't clean as quickly as a 2000 PSI or larger gas unit.
They really are 2 different tools for two different jobs. If you need to clean a large area all at once, a gas unit is a good choice.
If you'd like to avoid the hassle of a gas engine, then breaking the cleaning job into smaller sections will bring it into the range of an electric pressure washer.

Overall I'm happy with my purchase
Had a break in the weather so I was able to use my new power washer on my RV.
Lots of power and did a super job BUT the hose connection leaks no matter how tight I try to get it (washers in place). Others have mentioned this but I hoped I'd luck out and get a non leaking one.....why hasn't this problem been addressed?
PWD RESPONDS: You may find that wrapping the threads with teflon pipe tape (less than a dollar at any hardware/megastore) will help with the leaky threads.
You can also contact the folks at Campbell Hausfeld, toll free, at (800) 543-6400 to let them know about your unit and get their advice.

Very Happy with this product
I couldnt be more pleased with this product. It works great and there is no need to store gas or back breaking pulling on a cord to start it.
And the customer service department was fantastic when I did have a question.

Not impressed with spray power
I was not impressed with the power of the spray.
PWD RESPONDS: An 1800 PSI pressure washer should be a huge difference from your garden hose; it's easily 30 times more powerful.
Please give the folks at Campbell Hausfeld a call, toll free, at (800) 543-6400. They will walk you through some simple troubleshooting steps to make sure you're getting the best performance from your pressure washer.
They will ask for the serial number of your unit, so be sure to have it handy when you call.

Out of the box
I needed to pressure wash my deck prior to staining. When I got the presuure washer out of the box I found the rear holding bracket had broken off in shipping even though the box showed no defect.
I examined the brackett and was unable to fix it but it was mechanically sound so I used it. I will now try to find someway to rebuild the holding brackett so i will not make the effort to return the entire pressure washer.
The machine worked well so there is no need to try to return.

I love the power
This is an upgrade from my old 1200psi. What a difference.
I love the power it performs for my needs. I enjoy the long cord also. Simple assembly is nice.
Excellent value, excellent performance. Both the washer and the cleaner.
With the deck facing a major road there is a lot of dirt and the deck has not been cleaned since I moved in. I had forgotten that it was red cedar. After the cleaning, I remember why I choose red cedar, it looks awesome.
The washer was easy to assemble and using pipe tape on all connections there was no leakage. The power is excellent and the detergent just stripped away years of dirt.
I have recommended this washer and detergent to all members of my family.

Worked well so far.
Used washer to clean off dirt and bugs from house one time so far. Easy to use and connections have held tight.
On receipt of the unit delivery, the screws needed to attach reservoir were missing. Called and got some sent to me within a week. However 1 of the screws was the wrong size. Really dumb mistake. Some previous comments were about connections leaking and/or breaking, so I will keep a close watch on that condition.
The actual performance of the unit and the attachments was excellent for my purposes.

Worked out great
I ordered the above from Power Equipment Direct and it arrived within four 4 days of my order which worked out great for what I needed to do as I had some time off so I could get my job done.
I use the PW1825 to clean the siding on my house and it performed great, no issues with this unit and the cost was a good deal. I look forward to using this unit in the future.

Worked fine
My old pressure washer broke after 5yrs. I searched all over in stores and on the Internet. Found this one for an awesome price.
It was the same PSI as my old one and that is all I need. It actually looks better than my old one. It assembled easily, followed instructions, didn't leak and worked fine. I use it on my vinyl siding.
I could never get the detergent tube to work, but it didn't matter. I just used my pump sprayer in the places I had to use a little detergent.
Was very happy with price, looks, shipping to my home and I believe I received this within 5 days of ordering with free delivery.

I'm impressed
Ive had the Campbell Hausfeld PW1825 for a few weeks, and used it about five or six times. So far I'm impressed.
It's perfect for deck furniture, powerwashing the house and the deck. Does a great job and so far seems pretty durable.
I did however have minor problem with a something coming loose in the gun. I could hear it rattling inside and it prevented it from functioning. Not a big thing, these things happen. After talking with the rep at Powerwashers Direct, she immediately sent out a new gun. Received it quickly- problelm solved.
Not only would I recommend the product but I'm very impressed with Powerwashers Direct. THANKS!

What a great pressure washer. Sure you can spend more money to get a higher PSI and more accessories but you wont find one that does a better job for the price than this one does.
It even tops some of the more expensive electric washers for less of a price.

Pressure washer operates great
This is the second CH washer I have owned and have been very pleased with both units.
The first unit I owned for five years and loaned it to friends and my son and daughter . That machine really had some
heavy use.
When it finally wore out, I knew there was no question that I would buy any other brand than a CAMPBELL HAUSFELD.
Thanks for a great machine.

Enjoying my pressure washer
I purchased the Campbell Hausfeld PW1825. I was going to purchase a Karcher model until I found the Pressure Washers Direct website. I found a system with the PSI I wanted and the positive reviews.
The only problems I have had so far are: putting the handle together. The screws stripped and I had to use larger screws.
Second I had problems trying to start the system. I called Customer Service and they told me what to do and the problem was solved.
I would recommend that they make this correction with the starting procedures in their manual.

Very pleased with the performance
I purchased the Campbell Hausfeld PS 1825 to clean our basement and under-house garage. We preferred an electric washer because we were using it indoors.
We were very pleased with the performance. We were able to sweep the water out easily as we cleaned since it did not put out an abundance of water while still effectively cleaning.
The hose connection leaked, but with the addition of a snap-on connector, the problem was solved.

VERY PLEASED . . . except
Received unit on June 7 and put it to work the next day. Does a much better job than expected and Im very pleased with the purchase.
My one complaint is it leaks at the garden hose input and also to the pump input. There must be a better connection available.
PWD RESPONDS: You may want to try a couple wraps with teflon pipe tape around the threads of the hose (pipe tape is less than a dollar at any hardware store).
For a bit more money you could add a set of quick connectors- they will make a better seal and be easier to connect.

Good product
The pressure washer that I received is working very well, and I like it.
Only problem is that there is not another container bottle for Bleach. I have had recent washers that had both soap and bleach containers available. Maybe your product does have the above but am very pleased with what I bought.
PWD RESPONDS: If you run bleach through your pressure washer you will damage the pump and void your warranty.
A better solution would be to apply bleach with a separate pump-style sprayer; then use your pressure washer to rinse it off.

A bit disappointed
This is my second electric power washer. The first one was a Karcher 1700 psi unit that after 3 good years finally died.
I have only used the Campbell Hausfeld washer once with both attachments and it is not as powerful as the Karcher unit, so I am a bit disappointed. I used it cleaning the mold off concrete, clean plastic outside furniture, redwood fencing, washing the car.
The hose is a better quality but I thought the higher PSI would mean more power or easier cleaning. Seems well made but my old Karcher got the job done better faster and easier.
PWD RESPONDS: In general, more PSI lets you get the job done faster. However- going from 1700 PSI to 1800 PSI is a small jump, and you wouldn't see much of a difference.
For advice on how to get the best performance from your pressure washer, please give the folks at Campbell Hausfeld Tech Support a call, toll free at (800) 543-6400.

Good power washer but supply connector leaks
The buying experience from Pressure Washers Direct was great. I was amazed at how quickly it showed up on my door step.
The first time I hooked it up everything worked as advertised. The second time, however, I was disappointed as the supply connector garden hose side began to spray water everywhere.
Both gaskets are installed, one on each side of the connector, but somehow it still leaks. I'm wondering if its worth contacting CH for a replacement part or if this is a design flaw and I need to go to the hardware store and pick up some brass quick connects...

Wife & I are very pleased
My wife and I are very pleased with the pressure washer.
We've used it to clean our deck and to clean out some small drain holes in the deck flooring. These holed get plugged and water pools on the deck low spots. The pressure washer does a great job of cleaning out those drain holes. That is one of the primary reasons we bought the pressure washer.
I might add we bought the washer based on a Consumer Report test article.

Internet search led to Campbell Hausfeld
Needed a new pressure washer after the gas machine gasped its last. My wife did her research online and CH was rated 5 out of 5 by every reviewer.
When our order was delivered, I hooked it up easily, with no leaks, mind, and cant believe the power delivered at 1800 psi.
I look forward to years of watching my north facing algae growth and years of accumulated woodland dirt on the deck easily disappear under the powerful spray.
I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great Great Buy!
I was looking into these last year and held off till recently. I have owned a Karcher before and was kinda disappointed with my purchase. The unit only lasted for 1 season and never put out the power it was advertised.
After using this one last weekend, I will say I am very pleased with the performance the motor seems a lot better than the ones I have previously used. And you can not beat the price.

Very Pleased
I needed a pressure washer that I could use myself female senior citizen!! as I could not start the gas one that we have.
After extensive research I decided on the Campbell Hausfeld. I was very pleased in receiving it so promptly. It was easy to assemble. I finally got to use it last weekend and it was easy to use, though not as powerful as a gas model.
Being able to easily adjust the pressure and fan spray was quite a plus as was being able to turn it on and off with ease. So far, I am pleased with my choice.

Sounds like it's built better
Well, I've only used the unit once so far. The pressure washer sounds like it's built better than my previous pressure washer. I was a little disappointed on the length of the hose because I would have to move the unit from one end of the car to the other to wash the other side.
Also, the connector in the back where the hose is hooked up leaks. Overall, I still believe this unit is better than the Karcher pressure washer I purchased from a Big Box store.
PWD RESPONDS: If it's the supply (garden) hose, you may want to try using an inexpensive, plastic garden hose quick connector from your local hardware store to stop the leak.
If it's the high pressure hose, please check to make sure you haven't cross-threaded it when you installed it. A little teflon pipe tape may help if it still leaks after re-installing your hose.
Well, I've only used the unit once so far. The pressure washer sounds like it's built better than my previous pressure washer. I was a little disappointed on the length of the hose because I would have to move the unit from one end of the car to the other to wash the other side.

Works fine
A brass inlet coupler would be a nice upgrade to this model. Works fine otherwise.
PWD RESPONDS: We have those available in our Accessories section, under Adapters. Just click on Garden Hose Quick Connects.

Power for most household usages
This power washer is perfect for my occasional uses around the house. I have cleaned the sidewalk so far. It had enough power.
I have had lower power electric power washers in the past and it took a lot longer to clean things like sidewalks etc. I would never buy anything lower than 1800.
I would like to buy the disk attachment surface cleaner. I don't know which one is compatible with Campbell Hausfeld. I wish they would let me know on the website. Otherwise, I am happy with the machine.
PWD RESPONDS: We're sorry, but Campbell Hausfeld has discontinued production of their surface cleaner. Should they bring it back we'd be delighted to add it to our inventory.

Great machine
This pressure washer has exceeded my expectations. It is powerful enough for all the jobs around the house that I anticipate. It is much more convienent than fooling around with gas and oil.
I like the fact that when I release the trigger the noise stops. I wish my neighbors would all use an electric pressure washer like this one.
Shipping was faster than I thought and it arrived in the original factory packaging. I am very satisfied.
