Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Pressure Washer Expert
Is there a pressure gauge? If not does the hardware accommodate a gauge or will I be replacing fittings? When shunting off pressure does the pump still have adequate cooling? Is it necessary to dial down the pressure for normal car washing and deck washing or do you just use a wider nozzle? Sorry a lot of questions there.

Answer
You can use a wider nozzle, some customers prefer to use the unloader to dial down for delicate tasks, it is just a preference. The pump will still have adequate cooling when the unloader is turned down. I have included a link to a pressure gauge with the proper hardware to connect it between your pump and high pressure hose. My question is about the electric start offered on a few pressure washers. Don't know if this one has an electric start or not but it is a must for me because I'm in a wheelchair and cannot get the windup pull needed to get it started. I have a lot of concrete to be pressure-washed and some brick and mortar. Cars and wood. Is it Overkill to get a pressure washer with this much psi? I was thinking 3000 psi but it offers four thousand so no harm correct? And also of course I don't want to spend an extra $500 or an extra $1,000 for that matter if I don't need to. Thank you

Answer
Mike,
This unit is not an electric start version. However, we do sell this unit in an electric start model. It is sold under model E4040HCE. For your convenience, I have attached a link for you to view that unit.
This is one of the best units available in the industry and is built for daily usage. It may be overkill, but it is one of the only units we carry capable of handling your applications that has electric start. The PSI is adjustable down to 500 PSI and this would be perfect for heavy duty applications like concrete along with delicate tasks like windows. I would not hesitate to recommend the E4040HCE.

I currently have a Pressure-Pro E4040HC in my cart, however, am reluctant to make the purchase before hearing what you have to say about the Vortexx Professional 4000, model: VX30405D. It has similar features to the Pressure Pro model, however has hose storage and seems to have higher quality features as compared to the Pressure-Pro. Prices are the same. Looking to hear what you know about comparing these two products and your advise. Thank you

Answer
My opinion, would be to go with the Pressure Pro model E4040HC. This unit has the highest grade CAT pump on it with external bypass. The external bypass allows the pump to run cooler and provide a longer service life. I would not hesitate to recommend the Pressure Pro Unit for heavy duty usage.

Answer
I would not recommend running 2 hoses off this machine. The GPM would be cut in half and the unit would not be very effective. I do not recommend running 2 hoses until you jump up to a skid mount unit with 5.5 GPM or higher.
For the surface cleaner, I would recommend the BE brand model BE-2000WAWS. I have attached a link for you to view that item.
I'm curious about the warranty for this unit as well as the more expensive unit. This unit with the cat pump is 1 year and the more expensive one with all the attachements is only a 90 day. Is there a reason for the difference or a recommendation for one over the other?

Answer
The CAT pump has a 2 year warranty, the Honda GX engine has a 3 year warranty, the frame has a lifetime warranty. It is the things like the hose, gun, lance that have a 90 day warranty.

The specs shows that this unit is 125. Is this pressure washer really only 125lb? I see other models with the same equipment, but they weight 50-75lbs more. Also, where can I see a photo of the wand and hose?
Thanks

Answer
Yes, the unit itself is only 125 lbs. due to the aircraft aluminum frame. The shipping weight is higher at 200 lbs. as it includes the 50 feet of hose, gun, lance, and packing materials. I have included a link to a photo of this product in a kit that will show the hose, gun, lance, and spray tips that will come with this pressure washer. **This is a photo of a Start-Your-Own-Business Kit and not all the items in the photo will be included.
Can you please tell me what size gas tank this model has? Thank you.

Answer
This unit is a professional unit and in my opinion is one of the best units available. However, in order to to effectively clean 2 stories, you would want to purchase a long range soap nozzle. I would recommend model 100146. I have attached a link for you to view the accessory needed.
Yes, this unit absolutely can be adjusted. It would be done by adjusting the Unloader valve. The PSI can be adjusted down to approximately 500 PSI. This makes the unit capable of even handling the most gentle tasks!
