How does the Yard Force YF2200BL compare with the DeWalt Professional 1200 PSI (Electric - Cold Water) Pressure Washer w/ General Pump (120V 1-Phase)? I know that the Yard Force is 2200PSI vs. only 1200PSI for the Dewalt. However, the Dewalt has 2GPM vs. 1.2GPM for the Yard Force. Also, would 1200 PSI be adequate for most jobs around the house (e.g., washing car, etc.)?

Answer
They are apples and oranges since one is consumer grade and the other is a commercial grade unit, reflected in the price difference.

The Yard Force unit is designed for around the house tasks, and would do a good job on cars, decks, sidewalks, siding, etc. The 2200 PSI would spray farther than 1200 PSI, so it would be more effective at washing eaves and soffits.

More GPM gets the job done faster- so tasks done with the DeWalt would be finished quicker. It won't spray as high as the Yard Force, but it would have a longer operational life.

The average homeowner wouldn't wear out the axial pump in the Yard Force unit for years, if ever. The DeWalt triplex pump is tough and rebuildable to meet the demands of commercial use. The DeWalt also has a higher quality motor than the Yard Force unit.

If you have rental properties to care for, a stable or kennel where gas fumes would be an issue then the DeWalt is a smart buy. If you just have a couple of cars and a smaller home and deck then the YardForce would do just fine.

If you have a large home to clean with large deck areas you may want to look at a Gas Pressure Washer as an alternative to a commercial electric unit.

HI Mike, I was wondering if this pressure washer has a soap tank to help with the cleaning process.

Answer
This will have a siphon tube that will run off the pump. The siphon tube can be placed in a bucket of pressure washer safe detergent. When the soap nozzle is put on the end of the spray lance, it will tell the pressure washer it is time to pull soap at low pressure. This is explained of page 18 of the OWNER'S MANUAL

RE: YF 2200BL. What does the" BL" included in the Model number refer to? Jim mC

Answer
The folks at Yard Force say the BL in the title stands for Brushless- it's a brushless motor. The advantage to using a brushless motor is greater efficiency and a more durable motor.

Does the Yard Force 2200 have any heating issues with prolonged use, say cleaning a large driveway, or can it go for hours? I see some are water-cooled now. Is this one? Thanks, Mike

Answer
To ensure the longest service life possible for your pump and motor, I do always recommend turning off the pressure washer for approximately 10 minutes after 1-1.5 hours of use to allow the pump and the motor to cool.

Hi Mike just looking for a good or best electric power washer that I can get. I see you have this Yard Force 2100 but it know I all ready have a gas powered one looking for one to youse one of the water cannons with to clean fire trucks. Want to be able to just put it in the back of the truck and go. Want to stay around the $399 Mark been reading a lot of reviews on a lot of them a lot of people are complaining on how cheap most are. Work for the first few times and then throw them in the garage . Don't want anything to do with things like that. So at your time if you can send me what you might think would work for me I would really like that . Have a great weekend. My brother in law was on the 24 team as a engineer it was great going too races with him. Hendricks is a great man he was all ways good to us. Made us feel like we were a part of the team. Ok just had to talk a little about that thanks for your time. Ken

Answer
The Yard Force is one of the best electric units in the industry today. It uses an Axial CAM pump which is a much higher grade pump that comes standard on consumer grade electrics.

However, it uses standard gas connections so you can use the MTM foamer and standard accessories. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit.
